Fixed the link, you left out the "And" in the title. I like your suggestion, but I'm not where I can do it.

Something I doodled after finding a Gi Joe font.
That'd be great, except for the artefacting. Can you get it as a PNG? In the meantime, the current image is just plain too large, so I'll resize it.
Yeah, unwritten rule number one: follow all the unwritten procedures. - CamacanCurrent image needs to be removed, not resized. Copyrights means its grounds for immediate removal. Anyway, tweaked the new one I made.

I think the text is harder to read in that version.
Reaction Image Repository... it's the same font at the same point size (Except for The Battle)...
Which one's giving you trouble?

I can read it, but there's something about the font that I don't care for...is that the closest one to the actual GI Joe font?
That graph is a good title-based joke, but it's not a good page image—it has nothing to do with the actual trope.
Rhymes with "Protracted."Considering the trope, we'd need a comic book or webcomic example; are there any good ones in the list?
Huh, it looks fine now. Maybe it's just because I was on my other computer with the tiny screen.
Reaction Image RepositoryIf copyright is an issue, how is it an improvement to copy the concept verbatim?
What this guy said.
, Er... yeah. Making a close copy of the image is no better than just taking the original image and cropping out the copyright notice at the bottom. If anything, it feels even sketchier somehow, like an attempt to hide the fact that the Wiki would basically just be stealing someone else's image without credit. I can't remember what the wiki's policy on such things actually is, but as far as actual copyright law is concerned, I am very sure that the copy Ghilz is trying to make on this thread would still count as infringing on the original image's copyright.
Just find a way to use the original image, like asking the creator for permission, or crop out the copyright notice but make the image link to their site, or whatever the standard procedure is.
... Or find a completely new image. Making a close copy of that picture is completely pointless, since (I'm pretty sure) it changes nothing as far as the copyright is concerned.

I say the general problem is it's just a logo and a phrase. The phrase is kind of related to this trope, but it doesn't really show the trope in action.
I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid.P.S. Again, still can't remember actual policy but if I do remember right, Eddie's said we basically shouldn't have pictures with copyright notices because it makes it look like we're claiming the copyright. If this is the case, I think just cropping out the copyright notice on the image in the original post should be acceptable, though presumably we'd still want to give credit where credit is due in some way or another. Can someone confirm/disconfirm this?
Edit: Oops, didn't see , sorry. Actually, yeah, thinking about it, this isn't necessarily a very illustrative image, though it is very funny. Anyway, my point was, if we were to go with the image in the OP, then go with the original image and crop out the copyright, instead of trying to replicate it.
Edit: Vague idea for an alternative: A screen-cap from a show that did this that clearly shows one character explaining or teaching something to another character, would probably be illustrative enough.

Bump. (Are we changing the image or not?)
Clocking.
^^^ "...we basically shouldn't have pictures with copyright notices because it makes it look like we're claiming the copyright. If this is the case, I think just cropping out the copyright notice on the image in the original post should be acceptable..."
No, looking like TVT is claiming copyright is not the only reason to avoid images with a ©, it is only one of them. Also: "If there is a copyright symbol © with or without a name on the work, we can't simply remove it."
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.Clock's up; locking for inactivity/lack of consensus. No further action is to be taken based on this thread.

Look at the bottom "The Battle (c) 2009 Nerduo"
Surely we can make something similar? It'd take 20 min on excel.
