^ Definitely. Although TV dinners are good too if you're either inept in the kitchen or short on time. Get family-sized, feed everyone a meal for six bucks or so.

Depends on what you get, really. I find that any type of meat in TV Dinners tends to be rather unappetizing, but anything based on veggies and pasta usually turns out all right.
