Can't edit-- agreeing to the terms repeatedly

What the title says. I can't edit and I'm agreeing to the terms repeatedly, on and on and on and on and on... So I'm saying is... I NEED YOUR HEEEEEEEELLLLP!!!

Do you have punctuation or other non-alphanumeric characters in your password? If so, change it from the Getting Known page.

Try clearing your browser cache and/or your TV Tropes cookies, if the above isn't the case. Also make sure your browser is accepting cookies from tvtropes.org.

I'm using Internet Explorer 8 so I can't find where to clear cookies from this page.

Go to "tools" at the upper-right of your browser (it should be under the searchbar). Go all the way down to Internet Options, click it. When the box comes up, there should be a "Delete..." button in the middle-ish of the box. Click that. When the next box comes up, make sure "Cookies" is checked, then go down to the bottom of the box and hit "Delete". Once it's done, close your browser window and start it up again.

I'm having a similar problem. As of late, I keep getting a page that says editing has been shut off for me and nothing more. If I did something wrong, I'd think this site would have the courtesy to tell me what I did so I can make amends and get back to editing.

The site tells you what to do. It tells you to come to this thread to appeal your suspension.
