You go find out why.
That was regarding the new episode, by the way.
Seems like they somewhat patched things up, and we're getting to the main part of the show.
Still no love triangle. Where's my shoujo romance!?!
...a little brother should belong to his older sister, right? - Orimura ChifuyuOh it's there. It's just all very subtextual.
Someone who read the manga claims that it's mostly about people being sociopathically focused on a card game though.
"No, the Singularity will not happen. Computation is hard." -Happy EntHuh? I already detected two love triangles, with TaichixChihayaxArata, and with ChihayaxArataxNeighbor Girl
^You forgot Taichi>Chihaya>card games.
Edit: Oh, and Taichi>Chihaya>Dr. Harada.

And Taichi's girlfriend>Taichi>Chihaya
Plus, I think the girl at the end will join the club and probably develop feelings for someone.

I want something more substantial. Meh, I guess I could just settle for (Arata x [Chihaya x Taichi) x Taichi's Girlfriend]
...a little brother should belong to his older sister, right? - Orimura ChifuyuChihaya x Dr. Harada is my OTP!
Or it would have been if DR. Harada wasn't married.
So I'm gonna settle for Chihaya x Karuta.
Okay, after this episode, no complaining that this show doesn't have enough romance.
Well that was quite a nice little episode, it's nice to see that not all the characters love competitive karuta the way the trio does and I think Kana will be nice addition to the group. Also fallen in love with the ED, I liked the OP from the start but it took me a little while to warm up to the ED.
If it has a plot then I have something to say about it!I want Taichi's shirt.
watch ep.8. the collecting club member arc is finished, Chihaya managed to get his five. is next week going to return to romance ?
Don't think so, Arata isn't there.
Porky rocks. Wanna see him get better and better.
Episode 9: Why hello there romantic tension.
Did Yugi or any of his friends ever bother to score points by doing a barrel roll over the play field? No. Watch Chihayafuru.
True story.
Seriously, I don't even know this sport and I still feel psyched about this show.
^If you've been paying attention to the show, you pretty much know all the rules at this point.
Uhhh, no, not really. I know the basics, yeah, but only that.
It's not a complicated game. You get 25 cards, your opponent gets 25 cards. You can arrange your cards any way you want. Then take 15 minutes to memorize where all the cards are (and which cards aren't on the field at all). After the memorization period, wait for a poem to be read then slap the card with the second half of that poem. If that card's on your side of the playing field, remove the card; if it's on the opponent's side of the playing field remove the card and give your opponent any of your cards. If you touch a card when the poem being read isn't on the field, or if you touch a card that's on the side of the field opposite the correct card, you take a penalty and your opponent gives you a card. First person to remove all the cards on their side of the play field wins.
That's the entire game, and can be learned from the episodes we've already seen. Everything else is just individual strategy based around those rules.
Kana's mom is kinda hot
Uhhh... I already knew that. Like I said, I know the basics. I'm just not one to claim I know the game if I don't know those strategies you speak of.
Kinda like I know how every chess piece moves but not how to actually make them work together. To me, that doesn't count as "knowing" a game.
This has gotta be one of the most shonen shojos I have ever watched.
A great recap episode, to boot.
The latest episode was awesome, definitely the best episode of the series so far.
Agreed. The thing that sports manga aim to have, emotional intensity? Boy is the latest episode full of that. It actually hurt to see some of our protagonists lose, especially in Mashima's case.
Chihaya trying to call Nishida and Komano "properly" cracked me up.
So here's the problem showing up: the best player isn't playing anymore. What to do?
