I've actually been meaning to post about how many people in Amazon give (negative) reviews on the product with the basis of "It didn't arrive!" when it should be directed to the seller, and was wondering if Amazon moderates the reviews/comments and actually removes these kinds of missing the point ones.

But then I searched about this and instead what I find is a set of stories of sellers being unjustly revoked of their privilege to sell, generally because of false negatives and a loophole that gives bias to those negatives. They're on the verge of a lawsuit.

How well does Amazon treat its users? So far, when I ordered things from it, I had very satisfactory results in products being delivered in reasonable time with the quality intact, but that's really the effectiveness of Amazon site system and the faithfulness of the sellers complementing one another. But now I feel doubtful about the site's trustworthiness.

Amazon has a bad habit of screwing over anybody it can, as quietly as it can. I'm seriously unsurprised that they'd do such a stupid and pointlessly malicious thing...

Ah. Here's what I was saying:

1 star SELLER reviews in the PRODUCT review section

It's annoying that people are ignorant and keep blaming the product for problems with the seller when that has nothing to do with the product. I really wish that Amazon does something about this.

What does Amazon care? There just aren't that many people in their business sector, and they have a nice stranglehold on it all anyhow. They lose one seller and pick up a 100 more because there's really not many other places to go.

They're there to make money. If they fuck over others to do it, it's not their problem. That's how they work. The only thing that surprises me is that you're surprised and think they'd actually give a shit about it.

Um... that's not what I was talking about here.

What I'm saying is, you want Amazon to do something about the problem, right?

Why would they care?

They don't have much incentive to do anything if losing a few people doesn't scratch the total market share they have.

A site without any sense of moderation is silly.

As the link above says, it's stupid for people to give 1-star review on a product because "It didn't arrive". If that happens to quality products, that messes up the ratings, which looks bad and can deter people from purchase.

Oh, hell, I agree with you. I'm just noting that Amazon isn't going to give a fuck about it.
