I'm in a bit of a pickle. I just recently moved to a small efficiency cottage. Problem with this cottage is that there is no phone jack anywhere (I looked).

I currently have an old broadband card with an ongoing data limit of 5GB; problem: I play Worlof Warcraft and would like to watch videos and download movies online and wish to get cable internet (this place does have a cable connector thingy, whatever its called) due to the fact there doesn't seem to be any limits on data usage.

My main point is: does anyone have recommendations on an ISP or would it be safer just to upgrade my broadband plan to 10 GB and just watch what I do?

You probably only have one choice for cable internet anyway, and none for DSL if you have no phone jacks.

I'm trying to figure out how old/cheap a house of any kind, even a cottage, would have to be to not have a phone jack.

I suppose the next pertinent questions to ask are who your current ISP is, and where this cottage is.

I typically don't like giving out my location on any forums, but I'll give you a general loctaion: Galveston County, Texas. My current ISP is Verizon Wireless.

And yes, these places are kinda old, but they are nice and inexpensive.
