If it really is broken, you can get one for like $25-30 on Amazon, last I checked.

Infinite Tree: an experimental story^^ If it does that with everything, it's probably a problem with the Dreamcast itself.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.That's a pretty common issue with the system. If you're willing to open up the console, this could help.

NOOOOOOOO.
Ugh yes, unfortunately the Dreamcast was the earlier 360s of their day, in that they have poor shelf life.I feel your pain , mine starting having nasty issues too ;_;
the dreamcast actually looks pretty interesting for a console and it had some good games so i always wanted to get it
but these stories alleviate that desire a tad bit so~
i hate to say i benefit from your loss but...
I BENEFIT FROM YOUR LOSS
...
sorry.

So I got out the Sega Dreamcast for some good ol' Chu Chu Rocket, Sonic Shuffle, and Sonic Adventure. While the VMU still works fine, something bad happened to the system itself.
Every 30 minutes, it says there was a problem with reading the disc and resets. This happened on all the games. Either they're all messed up, or the Dreamcast is. D:
