Chaika Trabant - Highly Sociable Girl

Chaika was really starting to like the group. Everyone seemed to be good people, and after a while being alone, enjoying the company of other people sure was nice. Even those people who looked intimidating or grumpy, like Atrocitus and the Doctor, had been nothing but nice to her. That is why she was really looking forward to introduce herself properly to the rest.

"Chaika! Chaika Trabant!" the girl replied with excitement, extending her hand towards Elec Man. "Nice meet!"

Team Science, Spirit World

Gavrill's face contorted with rage and she roared like a beast as she dug her fingers deeper into Seiryuu's neck with crushing force. She tore at him with her teeth and thrust her free hand into the dragon's face, pushing clawed fingers at his eyes and shoving him backwards.

Had she been possessed of a calmer type of mind Gavrill might have pointed out to Armani that she had no magic, was unlikely to be of much use against the Doctor-Vaatu, and wouldn't have been able to contribute much to Korra's plan in any case. As it was, she simply shot him a look of crazed savagery, ropes of drool and strips of bleeding flesh hanging from her jaws, and it may have begun to dawn on Armani that the person he was running towards and trying to reason with was quite literally frothing at the mouth insane.

Maria

Before Gavrill could stab the dragon, she would find Seiryuu disappearing into particles of blue magic in her hand since, well, Maria is putting the majority of her focus into possessing her own body again.

Toph smiled. Well, that could have gone much worse. She returned to the rest of the group.

"Kwong's cuisine?" said Nitori, nodding at Tenzin. "Alright. Show the way, oh bald swindler. I'm buying. Drinks, food, you name it."

"Oh? Creaky's paying? Colour me surprised." Toph remarked.

"You don't even know what colour is," murmured Nitori.

MAGIC

Ok... avatar of evil was a thing. Well, he seemed to be busy dealing with hypothermia at the moment, so Seiga turned her attention to what she now considered her property, that Gavrill had been intent on maltreating.

Teleporting to its side, she grabbed Maria's body.

"Mind if I borrow this?" she said.

Supergirl-sad

While Kara was a bit dissapointed that her ice attack didn't work, she was glad to see Armani and elsa joining the action. She nodded back to Armani when he warned her about the danger and pointed at the target.

Then when her ice was weakened by the missile, supergirl flew towards Vile. Surprisingly she wasn't ,surprisingly, angry and Kara simply told Vile with a faint but reassuring smile, "Don't worry about it. But I think should focus on saving the doctor before kicking Vatuu's ass."

Then when Vatuu began to gloat after absorbing Raava the light spirit she told him, "As long as even one of us is still breathing. You will never win!"

But then she noticed the badly hurt Korra and she flew to her side. "There...there must be another way, she told" Korra and Urza. Her eyes were getting watery and she tried to hold Korra's hand with sadness, before she would be gone. "Korra, Ravaa or not. Your spirit is stronger than Vatuu's.— Her eyes began to become teary and she tried to cover her tears with her arm— " I will never forget you, friend."

Supergirl then flew to support Armani, when she noticed she was defending Maria. Her arms were crossed, she crossed her arms and frowned as she wasn't happy at all with the possible death of Korra. "Hey Gavrill that's the body of our friend, we don't have time for playing games." The truth was the she was just venting out her anger with Vatu.

Spirit World

"NO!" 'Maria' yelled as Maria's spirit entered her, her entire body suddenly squirming and writhing as the two spirits wrestled for control of that flesh. Inside, Maria would see the Princess' spirit- a whispy purple fog in the form of someone she did not recognize- fly right at her, trying to grab her by the neck and hurl her out of the body.

"What are you idiots doing?!"    Asked the Doctor Vaatu, mid-laughter, as he easily flew through the explosion, grinning even more.    "Do you truly expect this to work?!"    He asked, loudly enough for those in the sky to hear, as his body suddenly took off, dodging Riesbyfe's blast and getting as close as possible to Labrys.    "Very well. Do not lose your hope. I want to watch it disappear from your eyes as I annihilate your friends."

Covering himself in the four elements, the Doctor Vaatu turned around and started flying down, faster and faster, until his body had turned into a comet, capable of eliminating all that stood on its path. And as he did that, Korra floated into the Rift, giving Urza one last glance before she disappeared into the void...

——-

Floating through the ether, Korra felt at peace. Even though she should feel incalculable amounts of pain, she felt at peace. Her eyes hurt too much to watch reality bend itself around her, following the command in her head. Her eyelids were heavy with the desire to sleep, even as she was split into twelve different versions...

The first one wasn't a person. The first one was just a vision, a helping hand for an old man in need of one. Someone who had just abandoned a person very close to him. Korra watched as she appeared to him, his wrinkly fingers grasping the buttons of his ship, alone in its control room, his own words echoing back to him.

"Don't let yourself be brought down by those feelings, Doctor."

"Who are you?" The old man asked, confused by this random girl. "What are you doing here?"

"I'm a watcher."

"A watcher." The First Doctor let those words hang on his lips. "Are you here to condemn me? For what I did to Susan?"

Korra did not reply.

"I understand what I did."

"Then why do you let your heart be filled with regret?"

"I understand what I did. I just do not know if it was the right thing." The First Doctor gripped the collar of his suit, looking down. "Do you know?"

Korra shook her head. The First Doctor's eyes returned to his ship. "But I do know you will see her again." Korra smiled. "Good times are on your horizon, Doctor. And many of them will feature Susan... extensively. Have hope for the future, Doctor. Have hope for yourself."

She disappeared, and the First Doctor's eyes hung on the space she had been occupying. "Cryptic. Why do they always have to be so cryptic?" He muttered to himself, unaware of the smile that permeated his lips as he walked away from the machine.

——-

The second one was someone entirely different from Korra. A Time Lady, born to higher standing and even higher expectations. She had lived her entire life aware of her higher calling, but unaware of where it came from. She knew that from the moment she was born, one sentence resided in her mind. She knew he had to say it to someone, but she didn't know who that someone was. Many regenerations came and went before she settled on one that felt familiar to her- a slightly dark-skinned young woman, with long black hair and a preference for blue.

She was granted a chance to watch as one of the Time Lords was put on trial for breaking the rule of non-interference. She watched as her superiors rattled off his mistakes, watched as that dwarf's face scrunched up in disgust at their accusations. Stealing a TARDIS... what kind of idiot would do that? But then, he spoke up. This Time Lord... this Doctor spoke up. She heard his words, and they touched her in a way not many things had touched her. This felt right. Like the good things in her life, this felt right.

Like the sentence in her head. She was given a chance to speak up.

"Is that all you have to say?"

"Well," The Doctor replied. "Isn't that enough?"

She scoffed. "Your defence has been heard and will be carefully considered, but you have raised difficult issues. We require time to think about them. You will be recalled when we have made our decision."

She watched as they took him to a room, to wait for his friends to be taken from the SIDRAT bay. And as he waited, playing a bizarre human game involving cards, she watched him.

And he, eventually, watched her.

"So peculiar."

"It's called clock patience. Although I doubt you have what this game requires."

"My brain can understand a thousand of these human games."

"Not talking about your brain, dear." The Doctor chuckled to himself.

"You think you're so much better than us, don't you?"

"And you people love to prove me right."

She glared at him, before chuckling. "I admire you, Doctor."

"Oh, such high praise. I am not sure I deserve it."

"Even in the face of danger, you stand resolute. But I wonder... is that just for show?"

The Doctor remained silent, hand hovering one fo the cards.

"It's not, is it?" She continued. "You fear what's about to happen. You shouldn't."

"Do you happen to know the verdict? Because I have a friend who'd love to hear it."

"No, although I can make an... educated guess. However, no matter what happens, Doctor, this side of you... keep it." She nodded to him. "I have a feeling it'll be quite useful to you in the future."

The Doctor, for the first time, took a look at her, narrowing his eyes. "Don't I recognize you?"

"Whatever the future holds in store for you, Doctor... have hope. You never know what's on the other side of the door."

She left the room, happy with what she had just done, as the Doctor slowly moved to a reclining position, returning to his game.

——-

The third one was a soldier, from a world unlike her own and unlike the one from which the Doctor came from. She belonged to a... republic. A place known as Great Britain. She had been trained, savagely, by a regime which method and demeanor reminded her of foes from the past. The cold nature of Amon, mixed with the Fire Lord's mad dreams. A perfect soldier bred for obedience to the Republican Security Forces.

A perfect soldier witnessing the slow death of her own world. The product of a drill, man's hubris at its finest.

"There's nothing we can do!" Section Leader Elizabeth Shaw said. "Nothing!"

There he was, the man who had been raising quite the ruckus the past few hours. Called himself the Doctor. He was rubbing his fingers against one another... watching just like everyone else.

"You said..." She spoke up, gulping. "You said there was a planet. Like ours. Going through this exact situation."

"Soldier. Don't tell me you... believe his absurd story!" Brigade Leader Stewart snapped at her, sending chills down her spine.

"What else do I have to believe, sir?!" She snapped back for the first time, mustering up unseen strength. "You said that we've gone past the point of no return, right?"

"Yes, I'm afraid so." The Doctor murmured.

"And this other world?"

"No. They still haven't achieved penetration."

"So there's still time."

Silence.

"Is there?"

"I do not know!" The Doctor replied. "So many variables, so many... circumstances."

"But there is a chance."

"Yes, a small chance, depending on my hope, my dying hope, that you will all listen to reason!" The Doctor said, as Brigade Leader Stewart scoffed as loud as possible, muttering "absurd, simply absurd" under his breath.

"I will listen to you." She said, noticing the fleeting smile in the Doctor's face. "We need to get you back, back to this... duplicate world. If there's still hope, Doctor, cling onto it, let that be your guiding light as you save them before they commit the same mistakes as us..."

"There is a way... the TARDIS." The Doctor sprung to his feet, heading for the door before turning to face Korra. "Thank you, my dear. You've been great help."

She pulled her hair back. "Only doing my job, sir."

It was only minutes later when the Doctor asked himself if he had ever seen her before, but by then, the soldier was long gone, another mission in her hands. Survival.

——-

The fourth one was also a soldier, but one from a different planet. Blond hair and light eyes, different from the others. One woman to seven men in her squad... a soldier in a thousand year war against a foe as deadly as anything Korra had ever encountered: the Kaleds. Korra herself had just found out about them, but the fourth her hated them and would go to any lengths to see a Kaled suffer.

She was now in a chamber, an incubation room for one of the Kaleds' most devious creation. And a man, a Doctor, held in his hand the key to wiping them all out. It felt weird watching this man wearing a long scarf holding the key to the victory of her race.

"What are you waiting for?" She barked. "Do it!"

The Doctor lingered. "Just touch these two strands together and the Daleks are finished. Have I that right?"

"To destroy the Daleks?" His companion asked. "You can't doubt it."

"Well, I do. You see, some things could be better with the Daleks. Many future worlds will become allies just because of their fear of the Daleks."

"What are you talking about? Just do it!" Korra asked, gritting her teeth.

The Doctor looked at her. "Listen, if someone who knew the future pointed out a child to you and told you that that child would grow up totally evil, to be a ruthless dictator who would destroy millions of lives, could you then kill that child?"

Korra held her breath. "Well, I— I would— That doesn't matter right now!"

"Doctor," The companion said. "We're talking about the Daleks, the most evil creatures ever invented. You must destroy them."

"Do I have the right?" The Doctor strained as he gazed at the small gap inbetween wires. "Simply touch one wire against the other and that's it. The Daleks cease to exist. Hundreds of millions of people, thousands of generations can live without fear, in peace, and never even know the word Dalek. But I kill, wipe out a whole intelligent lifeform, then I become like them. I'd be no better than the Daleks."

Korra lowered her weapon, leaning forward. "Do you realize the choice you're about to make?"

"Do I?" The Doctor replied.

She clenched her fist and bit her lower lip, looking around. "Listen, I... your question, I... maybe... I don't know!"

"A simple touch. All that it would take." The Doctor repeated to himself, whispering that last sentence.

She knew his choice. He wouldn't do it. A man who stopped to consider what killing a killer would make him was a man of standards. Not like her. Korra felt ashamed. Distraught for everything that she had ever done, for the weapons she held in her hand. Here was this man, holding the key to peace across the galaxy, and he still had more of a backbone than her.

"How can you be sure you're making the right choice?" Korra asked.

"I can't."

"Because I can only hope, Doctor. Sometimes, it's the only thing that we can do. I hope you're making the right decision... my hope... lies with you. Don't misuse it."

The man in the scarf lingered for one second more, and Korra could see his fingers retracting the wires, enlarging the gap between the wires.

——-

The fifth one wasn't anything yet again, just a vision. This time, she had many moments to choose from... too many. This one had gone through bad times that put her own problems to shame. She had seen him lose one companion, tired of all the deaths. She had seen him mulling that there should have been another way. There was no right moment for her to appear, and as so, she remained incorporeal, waiting, watching.

"Feels different this time."

There he was. At his deathbed. This time it would be simple.

Many voices from his own past joined her. Telling him that he was still needed.

"What was it you always told me, Doctor? Brave heart? You'll survive, Doctor."

She waited until her moment.

"You mustn't die, Doctor."

"There is still something that you can hang on to." Was all she said, her voice breaking through the drowning laughter of the Doctor's mortal enemy. "You know what it is."

The sound of a regeneration assured her that she- along with the other companions- had succeeded. The Doctor would not die that day.

——-

For the sixth one, she returned to her Time Lady self. Now, she was a jury... in another trial. Of the same man. What was it with the Doctor and trials? Nevertheless, she watched, as the Doctor had his 'mistakes' displayed for all to see on a screen. Her self felt indignation at what this man had done, but this moment brought back the memories of when she meet the second one... the dwarf.

She was brought out of her momentary trip down memory lane by the sudden sound of realization.

"So that's why Earth was renamed Ravalox. That sanctimonious gang of hypocrites were covering their tracks!" The Doctor angrily declared.

She remained passive, even as his accusations grew wiler and wilder.

"In all my travellings throughout the universe I have battled against evil, against power-mad conspirators. I should have stayed here. The oldest civilisation, decadent, degenerate and rotten to the core. Ha! Power-mad conspirators, Daleks, Sontarans, Cybermen, they're still in the nursery compared to us. Ten million years of absolute power, that's what it takes to be really corrupt. "

"Take it easy, Doc." One of the witnesses spoke up.

"Doctor," The Inquisitor began, sternly. "These unseemly outbursts—"

"Unseemly outbursts? If I hadn't visited Ravalox, as I then thought of it, the High Council would have kept this outrage carefully buried, as presumably they have for several centuries."

It was at that moment that she knew the Doctor had lost hope not just for her, but for all the others sitting besides her. And she looked around, trying to find similar expressions, because... she had lost hope for the Time Lords as well. She had lost hope for all of them if they could do something like this.

But perhaps the Doctor would not have to lose every ounce of it. Korra covered her face in shame, standing up and leaving the courtroom briskly. It was a simple gesture, one she was sure the Doctor had recognized. It may not look like it now... but some of us can make up for our mistakes.

She only hoped this seed would grow into something in the future.

——-

There was no seventh one. Korra did not know why.

Perhaps it was because he never truly lost it.

——-

The eight one was a nurse at a hospital. In the middle of preparations for a New Year's party, she stumbled across a man, draped in practically nothing. He looked lost. Well, she was a nurse... what else could she do?

"You need something?"

"Doctor." He blurted out.

"You need a Doctor?"

He nodded.

"Uh... there's Dr. Grace. She should be heading to the elevators."

His eyes brightened at the mention of Grace. "Doctor- yes. Her!"

"If you follow the corridors, you won't arrive in time." Korra said, walking back a few steps and pointing at a set of emergency stairs. "Use those."

"Thank you." The lost man said.

"Hey... don't mention it." Korra said, returning to her duties, before wondering if she had ever seen that man before. Well, now he wasn't lost anymore.

——-

The ninth one was a contestant on some kind of frivolous game taking place in the future. Too many questions raised from that, questions Korra didn't want answered. All she needed to know was that the people behind the game she had been a part of for quite a long time were Daleks. Now those she knew about.

Told to armor up and grab as many weapons as she could, Korra watched as the Doctor walked past her, clearly having just gone through a terrible choice. "Oy!" She screamed, getting up. "Where are you going?"

"Does it matter?" The Doctor replied.

"Well, considering my life is on the line, yeah, I guess it does matter!"

"Your life is already short. You're a human!" The Doctor turned around, shaking his head.

"I take offense to that!" Korra grumbled, and before the Doctor could walk away, she grabbed him by his shoulder. "I was talking to you!"

"What do you want me to say?! That we're going to get out of this just fine? Because we're not. I'm not going to trick you. I'm not like that."

"Yes, but does it matter?"

The Doctor stammered. "What? What kind of question is—"

"Because it should matter, alright? All of this. You can't just go 'doesn't matter', no!" Korra clenched her fist, tightening her grip on the gun. "Because when you do, you admit defeat. Sure, you tell yourself you're still playing, but your spirit just threw in the towel!"

The Doctor narrowed his eyes.

"Don't throw in the towel. You're not the type of person who does that, Doctor. I've known you for... thirty minutes and I can tell that."

"How? How can you tell that?"

Korra shrugged. "Because I can see, that no matter what you tell yourself, it'll always matter to you. Sure, you may frown and growl, but you care. There's a part of you that cares, and you gotta focus on that."

The Doctor crossed his arms. "Have some hope, is what you're saying?" He scoffed. "Hope can't stop a Dalek."

"Yeah... it can't. But it can sure as heck try, right?" Korra smiled, patting the Doctor in the shoulder as she followed the commands of one of the other guys leading the offense, a Captain of some sorts.

"... an omen..." The Doctor muttered under his breath, before returning to what he was doing, a little spring on his step.

——-

The tenth one was waiting, with an umbrella under the falling snow. Waiting for him to pass by. The Time Lord Victorious on his last moments.

"I knew you'd be here." The Doctor said, hands inside his pockets, stumbling towards Korra.

"Since when?"

"Satellite Five. That's when I connected the dots." He muttered. "... this is it, isn't it?"

"I'm afraid so."

"My last day."

"But not the Doctor's."

He smirked, watching as the blonde woman he had talked to earlier went on her merry way. "I don't want to go."

"Why not?"

"I still have so much to do."

"You'll get a chance to do it."

"But no as me. I mean, yes, it'll be me. But not me."

"Is the Doctor just one of his regenerations?" Korra scoffed. "I think you're giving yourself way too much credit here."

"I thought you were here to make all of this easier!"

"And I am!" Korra replied. "Doctor, don't you want to live an adventure?"

"Yes, of course! I wanted to visit so many planets. I wanted to visit yours, find out where you're from. Who you are. And why me. So many mysteries left unsolved."

"You expect the universe to give you what you think you need, but that's not how this works." Korra sighed. "Doctor... what greatest adventure is there to go into the complete unknown?"

The Doctor mulled over that question. "I suppose that is... quite a journey."

"That is where you're going. Your adventures are not going to stop. They're just going to keep on going. Who knows for how long... and who would want to know that, anyway?"

The Doctor's hand let out a yellow glow. "Oh, you're getting me excited."

Korra nodded. "Safe travels." She said, walking past him. "Or not!" She added with a chuckle.

"Wait, who are you—" The Doctor asked, turning around. Only her umbrella was left behind. The Doctor smiled, weakly, then resumed his journey. It was time to go.

——-

The eleventh one sat calmly in front of the eleventh Doctor, even if he was trapped inside a prison built to hold him forever.

"How long am I going to be in here?" He asked.

Korra leaned against the inner walls of the Pandorica. "Where's the fun in that?"

"Of course." The Doctor chuckled, darkly, leaning his head down.

Silence.

"Will you tell me a story? Any of them. I want to know about you- I have the time."

Korra nodded, taking a deep breath. "I'll tell you a story so good, you'll want to hear the real thing. If you ever get out of here, come visit me, alright?"

She walked closer to the Doctor, leaned in and whispered two words. And before she could continue, the doors to the Pandorica opened.

The Doctor's smile could blind an onlooker.

——-

The twelfth one—

"Korra."

... Doctor?

"We don't have much time. Listen to me... you need to listen to me, alright?!"

Yes, yes, what is it—

"Don't trust the bigger guy. That is all I can say. Don't trust the bigger guy."

Who? Who is this bigger guy?

"DON'T TRUST THE BIGGER GUY."

——

The comet suddenly... slowed down. Considerably. It was a still a mass of four elements and dark spiritual power heading towards the Seekers with enough strength to destroy them, but at least it could be stopped now. Yes, there was still hope that Vaatu could be stopped. If he was slowing down, if his attack had decreased in strength... then Korra's plan must have worked. That was the only explanation.

But if that was true, where was she?

Republic City

"Sure, sure. I just want to eat, man." At Chaika's approval, Sokka smiled. "And you did good work too, Chaika." He said, leaning down to hold his hand up. "High-five?"

"Wow, that's gotta be..." Bumi grumbled. "Yeah, we used to have dragons. Don't have them anymore. So is everything else in your world plus-sized?"

"Bald swindler?" Tenzin said, a bit offended. "I'll have you know I—" He stopped when Kya pulled on his ear. "Ouch, ouch! Alright, alright, I'll take you all to Kwong's Cuisine, just... I am not a bald swindler!"

"Tenzin, stop complaining." Lin replied, smiling. "I mean, whatever you're going through right now, doesn't really compare to what I'm going through." She looked down at Toph, crossing her arms. "A few years from now, when Avatar Aang creates Republic City, can you make sure that statue of his doesn't get built? Tenzin loves to remind me of that."

"It's an important part of the scenery of Republic City!" Tenzin piped up, getting really, really red as he headed out the arena.

Alvin hardly had the time to process anything, but he at least could figure that his hopes had been dashed.

Giving his power didn't help any, Korra was slain before anything could be done. Pierced, fell, sucked into the void.

And all that only served to make Vaatu stronger.

"Damn it all!"

As Alvin tried to reload, Vaatu sped around in his comet form. He managed to roll out of the way rather awkwardly, landing on his side.

He looked up just in time to see Vaatu slow down in his movements.

"What?"

Shakily standing up, locking his revolver's chamber back into place, he could do no else with how much he knew.

"What's going on? Did...did it work?"

Glacius spun back, his cheek now aflame and dented from the force of 'Maria's' punch. Shards of ice scattered as Glacius fell to his knee.

Immediately, his hand shot to his face, engulfing itself in the flame and releasing some sort of coolant.

No, it wasn't releasing a coolant, Glacius was simply freezing that part of his face, attempting to extinguish the fire and put his armor back together.

"Elec Man," Chaika repeated, making sure to engrave the name into her memory. "Will remember!"

Then another praise came, this time from the boy she had been inspecting earlier before Hood interrupted. She didn't quite remember why she had done that in the first place, but it didn't really matter at that point, did it?

"Thankful!" the girl replied, high-fiving the swordsman... whose name she still hadn't asked about. "Uhm... name?"

Vile, Spirit World

"This can't seriously be happening?" He had a clear shot he might have been able to end this battle quicker, but Loki just had destroy his blast because he might kill Vaatu's body and the person who just got shot through the chest.

Something had been extracted from her and Vaatu seemed pleased with himself. Not being close enough to Vaatu to be hit by the Lava spewing Vile began looking for alternative spots to take a shot at Vaatu, He didn't care he killed Vaatu's host this guy had to go down, no body who injured Vile should get away with it.

Saving the Doctor? Who the heck is the Doctor, This was only a small thought Vile had while looking for the best position to get a clear shot. Saving someone he didn't even know why bother, As Supergirl flew off to support her allies Vile began to mutter to himself "So I have deal with that kind of person, how annoying".

Finally having found a comfortable position Vile was about to fire an energy blast from his shoulder cannon, However two things had caught his interest. One was the current comet like Vaatu, who was going to crash down and possibly wipe them all out, And two was the girl who had been shot trough the chest was being dumped into the rift by who he assumed where his teamates, perhaps it was part of some desperate gamble.

Expecting his inevitable demise at any moment, Vile was quite surprised that Vaatu seemed to slow down, perhaps the gambit payed off? Filled with a sudden vicious glee Vile began let loose energy blast, after energy blast from his shoulder cannon in an attempt to bring Vaatu down. Vile wanted to see Vaatu brought to heel all so he could see the Dark spirits premature gloating shattered.

"No, not at all. Humans are much the same there as they are here. But 'plus sized'?"

Gough gave a chuckle, and spoke in a tone of gentle ribbing.

"I've never thought of myself as such. Is it my fault you're all so small?"

Supergirl-Making a speech.

After helping Armani, Kara was still near him kneeling at the floor crying at Korra's death until she noticed the deadly coming from them to kill them. She tried to clean her tears with her elbow. After a few seconds hesitating and taking a deep breath She flew above the group. Supergirl her super lungs to speak louder so everyone around would be able to hear her while she talked.

"Everyone listen! Our friend Korra made the ultimate sacrifice to stop this evil called Vatuu. Now is up to us to finish her mission so her sacrifice isn't in vain."—She took a quick glance at all the seekers— "I know We all have our differences— But we also have bonds that unite us. We all want to get alive and save our loved ones, our friends. If we join together and fight as one we will be able to destroy this comet and stop Vatuu once and for all," she concluded giving a determined look. Those looking at her eyes would notice there wasn't a single drop of doubt in her mind.

Supergirl then began to fire at the comet with her heat vision to try to start destroying it before it hit them.

Gavrill had essentially forgotten about Maria and her possessor at this point - in her frenzied state, she didn't seem to have room in her unstable mind for anything more complex than destroying the most obvious thing to hand, and the comet was the first thing to draw the attention of her indiscriminate berserker rage.

"GRRRRRAAAARHHH!"

She didn't know or care or even consider if Urza's flight spell was still in effect or not - she simply crouched down and launched herself skywards at the comet. What she might actually do upon reaching it was anyone's guess, including her own.

"It's hard to forget!" Elec Man responded, watching as Chaika turned to speak with someone else. Seeing that the conversation was likely over, he hopped down from the stands and began to follow Tenzin out of the arena. Even if eating was not within his functions, there was no reason to not go along, at least to keep an eye on the others.

Riesbyfe didn't know what had just happened, and wasn't about to think too hard on it. What she could say for certain was that the giant evil comet of doom was slowing down to not instant-death levels.

So the first thing to do here was try and kill Vaatu before impact, but... Damn! She didn't have much left to hit him with, though. Using up that shot on Wan Shi Tong was looking stupider by the minute...

Riesbyfe grimaced and lifted Gamaliel. The shield glowed with a soft yellow as an odd rune traced itself across the shield... and peeled off, floating slowly away and crackling with electricity, followed by another, and another, and a couple more. As the electrified runes floated towards a spot where, by the time they got there, Vaatu would be, Riesbyfe braced herself for the comet's impact and hoped her meager aid would be enough, because the only other option was throwing herself in front of it and hoping her shield could withstand the blow, and as poor as Riesbyfe's ability to think ahead was, she knew situations she was unlikely to survive when she saw them.

Spirit World

The Princess' spirit clutched its own neck as she was sent flying right out of Maria's body, its rightful owner regaining control. Outside of Maria's body, the Princess adopted a wispy, purple form, and realizing she had lost this fight, she set her sights on another possession. Her eyes stopped on Armani and a white glint formed on her 'face', a sort of smile.

But it didn't last for long, with Armani's puppies coming to his immediate defense, growling at the Princess. They seemed to shimmer with anger, slowly growing in size and making the Princess realize that she hadn't lost the fight, but the entire war as a whole. Within seconds, she collected herself and flew as far away from the Seekers as possible...

Blast after blast hit the Doctor Vaatu, the fire around him dissipating and revealing that not only did he have a pained look in his face, but he also had a growing white light inside of his chest.    "NOO!"    He cried out loud, as the heat vision hit him, forcing him to slow down considerably as he tried to save his attack, the white light growing brighter and brighter.

Gavrill's attack was next. The Doctor Vaatu tried to fight back, but Gavrill's attacks overpowered him easily, and the two devolved into a ball of conflict, hitting the ground within seconds and kicking up a huge cloud of dust. A crater behind them, the Doctor Vaatu was apparently dead, before he suddenly took in a sharp breath, Vaatu slinking out of the Doctor's body, and floating up into the Rift. Once Vaatu's body touched it, the Rift closed itself in a flash of blinding light...

... and rolling out from spirits know where, was Korra, still bleeding, her breathing so slow it was almost as if she was dead. "Korra!" Asami yelled, rushing over to help her friend, as behind her a portal leading to Republic City opened up...

Republic City

"Sokka." The swordsman said, nodding to Chaika. "Come on then, Chaika. We've got bellies to fill- and all thanks to Nitori!"

"Well, is it my fault you're so big?" Bumi parroted Gough's 'complaint', crossing his arms.

Before anyone could leave the arena, a portal opened, attracting everyone's attention. And on the other side, they'd be able to see the Spirit World and the aftermath of the gigantic battle that had just occurred. "Is that... I see all the others in there!" Tenzin said, squinting.

Atrocitus was remained silent, merely letting everyone converse as they all left the arena......but then he turned sharply and flared up Red when the portal appeared. The aura cooled down to a simmer when he felt familiar blood on the other side.

He cautiously floated over to the portal, nearly at its edge. "Can any of you all hear me?" he called out. "Anyone still alive?"

Armani was visibly taken back by how much of a psycho gavril looked to be.

His lips curled then into a feral snarl; he did NOT have time to be dealing with Frankenstein's bloodstarved beast while he had the megalomaniac manifestation of this world's evil basically casting meteor on them all AFTER just having lost one of his new friends.

He ripped his sword out and got into stance...when she literally flew off into the air to go after Vaatu instead, exactly what he had wanted in the first place.

Armani stared incredulously at the spot where she had been snarling at him at not a second ago.

"...I give up trying to make sense out of people. Only the gods know how I've managed to keep up so far."

He stowed his sword and pulled out his bow, glancing up at Vaatu with violence in his eyes.

   "NOO!"

Armani stood there and breathed for a moment, watching the victorious battle unfold without his input even being needed. It was a testament to Korra's power; with her, Vaatu was really nothing between them all. Korra's efforts had born fruit, like a heroes death should...He clenched his bow and watched as he and Gavril fell in a big ball of almost comical violence, had he been in the mood to giggle at it.

—that's that then...— He felt the adrenaline begin to recede, the frustration and anger he felt at Vaatu and his own helplessness lessen but not disappear. He knew he'd feel tired in a few minutes — the exhaustion that always came after the anger that filled a wounded heart was inevitably cooled. He didn't want it to leave him yet. If he wasn't angry, he'd just be sad.

—Serves you right. Fall and break like Icarus. Korra's sacrifice was the sun on your wings. For all of your over the top, conceited, cretin-worthy boasts, you're as insignificant to our power as a speck of dirt. I hope that's your last thought before you're sealed again—, Armani thought bitterly.

...

He wasn't done with side threats yet; before he could pull his sword away to take his bow back out, some purple spirit was shoved out of Maria's body. It didn't take a genius to guess who his newest guest was. That 'grin' that met his unamused look wasn't subtle either.

And suddenly his pent up stress had an outlet, finally. "...I've had enough." Moonlight exploded out of Armani, his face turning feral as he got into an attack position that was more animal than it was warrior. His eyes seemed to flicker back and forth into slits, and when he spoke there was an undertone of something dark and wild at play.

"You wanted to take my friend!? You wanted to kill the rest!? And now you have the gall to come after me! You craven lunatic, who can't do anything without waiting pitifully in a shadow until someone comes along to let you exercise the tiny portion of strength you have!? Fine, FINE! I'm going to really enjoy letting you try."

His wolves had his back, there and shimmering angrily like he was. He growled at them appreciatively, which they'd be able to understand. Whether it was the wolves or him, he didn't know, but the spirit seemed to rethink this whole thing after all. He saw the hesitation appear on her 'eyes', and knew she was about to try and flee.

"Oh, no you don't. You're not hurting my friends anymore. You're not going to hurt anyone in this world anymore." Fast as lightning, he shot forward to close a hand around her neck before she could flee.

Elsa

Her ice blasts hadn't helped much and even if they had, Elsa was past caring. Leaping off her frozen platform, the ice queen ran over to Korra- the girl who had been willing to sacrifice everything for her world.

Asami got to Korra first, as good friends were wont to do but Elsa was close behind. Coming to a slow and hesitant stop behind Asami, Elsa peered over Asami's shoulder at Korra. Korra needed a doctor- seriously this time and with luck, a portal had just opened back to republic city.

The ground rose into another frozen platform beneath Asami and Korra, soft snow building up underneath to form a rather comfortable bed for the Avatar. The snow melted not under Elsa's command and thus, getting soaked by freezing water would be the least of Korra's worries.

"Come on, let's get you out of here."

Slowly, at first, the platform began to slide. Like a boat over solid ground, Elsa guided her platform of ice towards the portal. Looking down at Korra, Elsa managed a weak but worried smile.

"What you did today, avatar, is something only a true hero can do."

Elsa paused a moment before guiding her platform of ice, along with Asami and Korra in and through the portal.

Maria

"Don't kill her!" Maria yelled out as she was united with her body, interrupting Armani and feeling strange as she had remembered the actions of Princess while she was in her body. "All she really wanted was a body."

"..." Maria looked slightly. "She was an evil girl who did evil things, but... I cannot have her be destroyed for just wanting a body when I took that option away from her."

"The only reason she got so desperate was because Gavrill and Seiga figured her out instantly," Maria explained to Armani. "I mean she's been a spirit so long, she's forgotten her own name."

"Armani, be merciful," Maria asked of the demi-god, still trying to get used to having a body again, and glanced over at the Doctor. "The Doctor need our help, now."

B.B. Hood frowned as the portal revealed itself, sighing and shaking her head, "Well, there goes the meal."

Atrocitus moved out of the way to let Elsa's ice platform through the portal with Asami and Korra in tow. "Elsa - " the Red Lantern started, but then saw Korra's condition. "WE NEED MEDICAL ATTENTION, IMMEDIATELY!!" he shouted to the others in the arena. The Ryutian crouched down and had his hands hover the Avatar, using his blood magic to keep her blood inside her body. The bed of soft snow the girl was on proved to be beneficial as well, managing to preserve her body as well as preventing swelling from occurring.

"It seems you are getting a better grasp of your gift, your highness," Atrocitus said to Elsa.

Supergirl

"Korra!" Supergirl said while flying very fast as soon as she saw the avatar. " I am so glad you are alive!" She said with tears of joy on her eyes while Supergirl hugged her, being careful of not harming her, before Elsa took her away.

Urza waited patiently as the spirit-turned-comet descended upon them. He knew many shielding spells, but he doubted even the mightiest could stop such a force for long. And they had already seen the futility of direct assault. If they were going to win, it would be because of whatever the Avatar was doing, braided through the tapestry of time. Urza was slow to learn, many would say, particularly those who had known him longest, but he knew when a situation was out of his control. So he waited.

And then his patience was rewarded. He saw the dark god fall, torn apart from within by a newfound power that came from seemingly nowhere. And he saw the Avatar's return. But he paid little mind to the broken body of this plane's champion or the way out of the Spirit World that they were given. Urza's powerstone eyes searched for the piece of Sifuri that Vaatu had taken. He planeswalked directly to the impact site, where the Doctor had come to earth, looking for the fragment of the weapon. He knew anyone of intelligence would be doing the same or going after Vaatu, if the emergent godling had fled through the portal, and so he stayed wary.
