I figured as much. I think there needs to be some kind of drive to change or promote new industries. Not austerity measures combined with tax cuts. That'll just screw you forever.

I am skeptical of the positive impact of tax breaks on the movie industry.
Also: Tax cuts are just a race to the bottom, a way for Michigan to hopefully steal some economy from New York or something. If we had any sense, we'd have the states work together, with some kind of government that represents all of them, united in some kind of fashion.
But THAT sure as hell isn't happening.

I'm talking protests and complaining first, like with the Wall St. thing.
Violence comes when desperate times call for desperate measures... They only SEEM desperate in Michigan. And they'll move before they turn their land into a war-zone, anyway (Only those who truly get desperate enough might stay and do that if they don't get their way).

I'm worried about how violence would play out if we actually had it hit Detroit. Imagine the scandal if the national guard got called in to quell a riot. Oiy vey.

So, I was just wondering... it seems like the vast majority of the spending for everything in Michigan is funded by the Federal government.
