If I remember correctly, it's theoretically possible for a planet to do this temporarily, but eventually the gravity of one of the stars would win out and it would settle into a regular orbit.
Of course, the odds of us catching that in actual observation are very tiny.

Isn't it impossible for a planet to orbit two suns in a figure 8 pattern?
