Ignoring my hate of furries, mlp, and pictures larger than the articles, that picture does not work because he is lusting after a single character and not the world it inhabits.
I am having trouble deciding how to cut up the erfworld one. I want to just use panels 6 & 7, but without and 5 & 4 it kinda loses context.

You're missing the point, I think. This trope is about entire worlds, rather than individual characters. If you were able to find a similar strip somewhere that, rather than being Fluttershy-specific, dealt with Equestria as a whole, that would work.
However, I think the Erfworld pic is the best choice, as much as I dislike that particular webcomic. It's extremely clear.
