Freelancer

I've just started playing this game, and I'm almost at the end. I'm really enjoying it. I know that the multiplayer doesn't work, but from reading the topic, apparently some mods do still have multiplayer. What mods do you guys recommend?

Crossfire, Crossfire, and Crossfire, in that order. In my opinion, Discovery is trash in comparison.

Actually, multiplayer does work - you just need to do certain things. You can probably find them easily enough on Google.

Also, I'd say that Discovery's actually pretty good, although it only really shines when you take it out for a spin on multiplayer. Admittedly, the Discovery servers are predominantly RP, so if that's not your cup of tea then you'll have to look elsewhere.

I want a mod that lets me fly ships from Freespace.
