Anonymity, mostly.

How well do you think, say, the cuddle pile in Yack Fest, would go if we all met each other in real life—without knowing we're all tropers—and suggested the same thing?

Cuddle pile is in Forum Games, actually.

What if we knew each other to be tropers?

This needs another thread. On Wall Str., well, if they're still at it, good. If they aren't, well, not good. Problem with protests these days is that if you don't want to follow a leader that would be autoimatically corrupted by your following them, you'll need to read up and form your own opinions and work hard at it. Not everyone has the time or resources or intelligendce to do it, and can the dumber trust the smarter to do/Say/believe the right thing?

An action is not virtuous merely because it is unpleasant to do.
