Will Rune Factory 4 be DSi compatible?

I just started playing Rune Factory 3 and got hooked. Then came news and screen shots of Rune Factory 4 and the news that's it's for 3DS. I can't say I'm happy with that since my D Si is brand new and the news that the game's sequel is in another console: Like what they did to Golden Sun Dark Dawn.

Since D Si and it's younger brother, XL, is practically just 3-4 years old, does anyone think that the new games will still be D Si compatible?

No, 3DS Carts have this little nub at their sides that don't let them fit into DS Slots.

And Even then, DS systems can't understand 3DS info.

Well that sucks! I hope a version for D Si will be made. I just can't see myself buying another when my new one isn't even a year old.

They'd need to make two completely different games for that. Not going to happen.

[up]How come? Isn't the 3D part just cosmetic of the console and can be turned off? Why play a 3D console when you can turn off the 3D part. LOLZ. I just noticed how funny that was.

The screens aren't the same resolution, there's a thumbstick and the system itself is more powerful hardware-wise. 3D is far from the only new thing on the 3DS

Ah so like 3DS isn't a part of the DS family anymore: It's a completely different console. Or did I get that wrong?

Its not Nintendo's fault if you bought the D Si pretty late. I was well aware that the 3DS was already out when I bought my own D Si. There are still a ton of great games for the system after all.

Nope it isn't Nintendo's fault, what makes you think that?

I blame Natsume though. They added fire to 3DS haters who hated 3DS already by having a good game sequel to the new console.

And I blame you for introducing me to this awesome and godly game, Izaak, joke only.

[up]One major difference that I can see is that the underlying DS hardware (all variants) has graphical power comparable to the N64 while the 3DS is closer to a portable Gamecube or Wii even without the 3D effects.

RF 4's graphics would have to be hideously sub-par for a 3DS title to work on both systems.

[up][up] If those people can still insist on hating a system even if there are games you like for it... that's just being stubborn.
