Is there a better way to organize the series? : My Little Pony

I was thinking of foldering it by generation. A "general" all-gen folder, then folders by each gen categorized into sub-folders (for example for G1: General, Toys, 'N Friends, TV Specials, Tales, UK Comics).

Or maybe the gens should be categorized into their own pages?

Foldering seems good. If there are a lot of tropes, them make a page specifically for that generation.

Each sub-series should definitely be getting its own page, and the main My Little Pony should index them.

Rhymes with "Protracted."

Yeah. Each continuity should have its own page for sure.

If all the individual entries have their own pages, then the main My Little Pony page really ought to have an index of them.

I didn't write any of that.

Well, I think the main page looks a lot better now. Before it was kind of cluttered, but I think the changes have deifnitely made it look overall more presentable.

1. Why is the list for the series called "My Little Pony Adaptations"? Adaptations of what?

2. Why are they even on a separate page? We can just put them on a short list in the middle of the main page (or mane page as the case may be).

I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid.

Adaptations of the My Little Pony toyline. Yes, really. It's a merchandise driven franchise.

My second point still stands. It's not as though there are dozens of pages to list (like the Star Wars Expanded Universe).

Well, those are all one continuity. The different MLP adaptation are not. I see no reason that it couldn't have a page for each work though. No one has bothered to do either.

My point is the list doesn't need to be on a different page than the main page.

The trope list is all ready split over three pages. If you merged it back you'd be splitting it over at least a dozen to keep from crashing the servers. Those recap pages are about 70k a piece. At least this way they're organized.

No, the list of the various MLP works, not the tropes.

Those are all completely separate works that have nothing to do with each other aside from having ponies in them.

[up]I'm honestly not sure if you realize I'm referring to making the My Little Pony Adaptations separate from the main My Little Pony page.

Again, it's not as though that list is so large that we needed to make a whole new page. It has only seven entries at the moment.

[up] That was split because the description is long enough to go under the fold as it is. Too much information before the trope list is not a good thing. You want the description to fit entirely on one screen for ease of readability.

I've seen some franchise pages that put the description, then the list of works (again, seven works is not that much), and then tropes general to the franchise.

I agree. I don't see why it needed its own page. It's short enough to fit onto the main one. Stephen King has all of his works listed on his page. As is the Gundam page and the Batman page. It should be put into a folder if it's felt that it's slightly too long. Having an extra page is just awkward.
