Max is going to get herself a dented forehead if she's not careful.
First thing's first, of course, the comic confirms what everyone suspected - yup, Dabbler.
Second, they do allude to what I suggested - other succubi would have been totally down to be in that position. Dabbler just won the "coin toss" (that's the term the author used, and I'mma gonna run with it).
Also, while I know that Dabbler's act is annoying, Max, I'm going to trust the really powerful magic user who specializes in knowing what buttons to push in this situation (and magically giving herself the perfect form to push said button). I have to imagine that Dabbler finds at least part of this distasteful, too. So just trust that she's doing her best possible job.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.I assume that Dabbler has a demonic inclination to find pushing stupid human males' buttons hilarious. She's diverted this to a basically good end, working as a superhero and all, and she actually seems to be a fairly decent person, but that doesn't mean that she has to find this part of the job unpleasant.
= Spindriver =I'll probably prove to be wrong, but I feel like this sort of uncharacteristically blatant behavior is probably a canary in the coal mine, an indication that something in the vault is affecting them.
Or Dabbler is leaking out.
"You can reply to this Message!"Or maybe just that The Fair Folk are jerks.
= Spindriver =Not just Dabbler. Decollette is probably enjoying herself way too much, too.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.Or just typical The Race That Will Fuck Anything Elven behavior. Yes, my fantasy racism is showing
Actually given the last couple of panel, I actually get the feeling that the view of Max's cleavage was incidental and in passing and what he's really trying to get a look at are Max's ears.
"I'm just saying you never see Half-Gnomes."
Although, canonically, halflings were the result of crossbreeding with the 1e subraces corresponding to elves and dwarves (after they stopped being hobbits).
Yeah, *something* is chipping at the Will Saves of everyone present here. I feel, or Max wouldn't show her Nerd cred quit that off.
Though Sydney saving Creepy McKnifeEar was nice of her? I mean, he deserves an kick in the arse for his staring, but maybe not from someone who'd legwrestle with She-Hulk for fun.

"You can reply to this Message!"When Sydney is supplying your necessary social skills, you know that you have an unbalanced party. Also, yep, called it, The Fair Folk are just jerks. Or at least, compulsive. And congrats to KoL for calling it on the ears.
= Spindriver =I'm with 3 of 4 here... the more I think of it, the more I think something is messing with minds in this scene.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.I'm sure swallowing all of that mystically charged blood will have no effect, right?

Actually, it probably will be mostly fine, because Sydney already has plenty of sources of power that she hasn't even achieved yet (all those sphere grid nodes unlit). And I don't think the comic will take the heroine out for an appreciable amount of time, so I don't think there will be persistent negative issues. Also, we still haven't caught up with the scene in the beginning, so Sydney will remain more or less intact.
That said, ew. Crimson's description definitely isn't helping.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.Update. Coot is still an idiot. Seems like he has a passenger, though. I assume it's Wyrmil.
Wow, with his (temporary) death, the IQ of the Human Race might have actually ticked upward noticeable.
"You can reply to this Message!"Catching up from the holiday...
Ingsol's comment about Coot is the absolute best. He's rising in the ranks of my personal "favorite vampires" list.
For today's... hmm... things are about to get a lot bloodier, aren't they.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.Poor Coot... so betrayed...
I love Ingsol’s calmly efficient willingness to delegate.
= Spindriver =I'd say his flight is going to meet a sudden end, though
"You can reply to this Message!"Coot's managing alright for himelf and apparently that artifact summons tentacles...
Fortunately, he's going to get a cold shower soon.
New strip, in which puddles are insulted.
