Honestly, given her weird mental state, I'd avoid that sort of thing for all sorts of reasons. But then, she's apparently being written by somebody with the same basic condition, who presumably knows what is or isn't likely to be going too far.
= Spindriver =Now that is some high quality trolling.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.I can tell you that the no reaction part is true.
The "no reaction" part would have been realistic even if we weren't talking about someone with Sydney's attributes. Sometimes, you just gotta roll with it.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.New strip. Stealth mode is for the slow.
= Spindriver =Wait, where are they going to play poker, on the ground?
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster. This could be a practical lesson in discreet use of the Spy Orb.
New strip. One wonders just how much damage Sydney can do herself.
= Spindriver =And suddenly, vampires. Makes sense.
I have to say, I don't think capes work with a modern 3-piece suit.
Also, it relieves me that a vampire that apparently knew Vlad the Impaler from being there first-hand also kept up with pop culture enough to know about Mr. Chekov. It drives me nuts when vampires apparently forget to keep up with the culture upon which they prey.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.I get the impression the light doesn't burn as much as the regret at trying the Hammer Horror approach on Sidney.
Honestly, I think he should consider himself lucky that Sydney didn't try to reach for one of her orbs. Naturally, the PPO would have been a disaster and a half... but I have to imagine that Sydney pulling out the lighthook would not have been his idea of a good time.
EDIT: Oh, and I almost forgot - someone just fired Chekhov's Gun.

Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster. Also, they have enough lips to speak intelligibly. Not all do, after all.
Also, I can't imagine a werewolf's coat is all that soft. That's one of the traits that humanity had to breed for in domesticated dogs.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.Yes-no. It's not that hard to breed the standard-issue wolf double-coat into this — five generations, tops (three if you're an unprincipled lout who loves backcrossing to selected parents and grandparents or their littermates like it's a pizza party — nine if you hate bottlenecks more than Uwe Boll); free bonus curly tail (again, an easy quirk to breed from pure wolf). What's harder is breeding out the insulation-and-guard layer combo. <_< Poodles are a mutation quirk like you wouldn't believe.
The hint can be seen in older, captive wolf females: they puff when they either hit the wolfy menopause... or get spayed. Boys also puff when they get snipped, just not as dramatically.

That kind of suggests that werewolves would breed for that kind of thing. I can't imagine they do.
That said, I did fail to consider the obvious - maybe werewolves, being an intelligent species, just meticulously groom themselves. If I can make my hair soft and luxurious, a werewolf certainly can.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.Never underestimate the technological leap of conditioner...
Ha! I should really know that, because I spent years trying to figure that out. Of course, I learned that it's really a combination of shampoo, a conditioner that works well with said shampoo, and the actual conditioning technique. Still, I feel confident that if an antisocial geek like myself can figure that all out in his 20's, a werewolf that seems older, much wiser, and more socialized than I am will have figured that out decades ago.
Mind you, I can't imagine that being a very fast process - I have short hair, and it still takes me five minutes to properly condition my hair. Still, if you want to have a nice pelt, you make the time.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.I imagine they'd like to keep their fur softer, at least for comfort reasons.
And he certainly looks quite fluffy.
"You planned this!"
Silly werewolf, nobody plans for Sydney.
"I will call him Barkley"
Trump delenda estWhy am I suddenly thinking of Loomers Anonymous handing out How to Survive Sydney FAQ packs with "I Survived!" badges?
Is it me, or is Sydney acting a bit...stoned or otherwise spacier than usual? I mean, face planting herself into a tree? Not reacting at all to a Vampire except for taking a picture? Going all "I love him!" to a huge, dangerous looking Werewolf? Just how strong was that pill she took back in the restroom? Is being a bit airheaded a side effect of medication for ADHD?
It probably is a side effect. Remember, she's not on her usual prescription, but generics that ARCHON had on hand. She even said as she was taking it that the generics made her even loopier than usual.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster. The stupidity aura is surprisingly plausible... Although honestly, I think it's more like a good Aikido practitioner. If you can keep the other person constantly off-balance, always shifting to keep them there, it's amazing how much you can dictate their exact actions.
Uhh, hazing in the military IS a thing you know
But yeah, I'm not sure that was a bright idea, both because it might make syndey think her meds are bad and because you KNOW she's gonna want to prank them back once she figures out it was an illusion. And knowing her her prank is gonna be EPIC....ly hilarious
