The page may be bare, but Avadon is a really good game, from what I've played of the demo at least.
I really need to buy the Geneforge games one of these days...

A Spiderweb Software game on Steam?! With ACHIEVEMENTS?! SQUEE!
I hope they end up adding the rest of their catalogue too. Without a doubt SS output is some of my favorite rpgs of all time, totally worth the high price tags.
Furthermore, I think Guantanamo must be destroyed.

Ah, hell, I played the original Exile from Spiderweb. Even got the CD with the first three games. Haven't finished playing any of them, sadly.
I tried the Avernum demo. It does some thing better, and some things worse. Still not sure I prefer it to the original.
Don't take life too seriously. It's only a temporary situation.

Avernum was the first RPG I ever played, so for many years I was a major Spiderweb Software fanboy. I remained a fan till around the fourth Avernum sequel, and only burned out on the endless rehashing of old mechanics and plots when I reached the final game in the series. I'd heard that both it and Geneforge were planned to end, and that a new game called Avadon was coming out, but I wasn't very interested (and judging by how bare that page is, neither was anyone else.)
But I just discovered that the game's out on Steam, and I'm feeling an odd nostalgia . . .
