The closest I am aware of is Final Fantasy VIII, with four.
Google says "Arc the Lad collection", with seven. But that is a collection.
I don't really have much to add to this conversation (as the most I've ever seen was 2 discs for Driver 2), but those are a lot of discs.
Could you imagine how many discs a game like Lost Odyssey (4 discs on 360) or L. A. Niore (3 disc on 360) would have (in a hypothetical universe where these games could actually run on a PS 1)?
My lucky number

Based on some really quick and likely inaccurate maths, I reckon it'd take around 27 discs for Lost Odyssey to run on a PS 1.
The Final Fantasys after VII had Four. I think 5 is the most I've ever heard of.
DumboDidn't know about Riven and Arc the Lad Collection, very interesting, thanks for the info everyone
I just remembered, regarding Tokimeki Memorial 2: while the actual game is split into 5 disks, there's also the 3 EVS Append Disks, allowing to play the game with the girls being able to say your name. So, counting them, that makes a mind-boggling count of 8 disks.
Otherwise, aside from the Final Fantasy games, the X-Files, and Legend Of Dragoon, are there any other games with 4 disks?
"Your kindness gives me the presentiment I can be reborn. Now, I want to believe at least in you." - Kaori YaeWing Commander IV came on 4 discs for its PS 1 incarnation (6 discs for PC version, due mostly to technical issues they had to use discs smaller than those for consoles).
All your safe space are belong to TrumpI think Lunar 2 Eternal Blue Complete had 5 discs, as well, but two or three of them were comprised of Bonus Material.
I hope you get tiny bits of eggshell in all your omelettes for the rest of your life!Final Fantasy VIII could of been three disks if it wasnt for the 30+ minute final FMV.
360 games are getting there too. Star Ocean The Last Hope was 3 disks as well as Final Fantasy XIII

Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!The only ones I know of with a lot of discs are Final Fantasy VIII and Final Fantasy IX, both with four discs each.
I also misread the title for a second...
So, I was playing Memories Ringing On on PS 1, and I had to change my disk to access to the ending. Mildly annoyed by this, this question came to my mind:
What could possibly be the multi-disk PS 1 game(s) with the highest number of disks in existance?
I checked my PS 1 games collection, and the one with the highest count I could find was Tokimeki Memorial 2, with 5 disks. Do you know if there are other games that equal or topple that?
