Concurred. I think it helps that the C-Pad/C-Button Stick were much easier to use for cameras than a single button and a control stick.
Although, frankly, if they didn't have a camera option, it'd be worse. I forgot about the star bits thing, thanks.

Frankly, Galaxy had few techniques compared to Super Mario 64, but for me it doesn't matter AT ALL because the level design in Galaxy 1 and 2 is goddamn brilliant. It sure as hell compensates for less variety in movements.

Hmm. Still, that easily could've been set to the down button on the D-pad or something, since if I remember correctly, even in the areas that you could move the camera in, you could only move it left and right.
