Double post because the Wave 4 stages have been announced. It (along with Birdo) comes out on March the 9th.

  • Bangkok Rush from Tour
  • Mario Circuit from DS
  • Waluigi Stadium from Double Dash
  • Singapore Speedway from Tour

Of all the DS courses they could of chosen why Mario Circuit?

Everything else is good though.

Anyway, yay DK Summit! And yay more Super Circuit representation!

Whaddya think the other returning characters will be? I feel like Diddy Kong is a given, and Tour has plenty of characters that would be cool to see in 8, from other vets like Funky Kong and Petey Piranha, to ones it introduced like Kamek, Dixie, Pauline, Monty Mole, King Bob-omb, Chargin' Chuck, Hammer Bro, Nabbit, heck, even Dr. Mario would be cool (yes, I know he'd be another clone but I feel like I wouldn't be upset to see him, especially if we still get some other characters).

Heck, given the courses were said to all be returning ones but then they threw us some brand-new ones, maybe they could do the same with characters. Imagine King K Rool or E Gadd showing up, heck, throw the Goomba a bone and let the little shit(take) be playable for once outside a baseball game.

Maybe we could even get some new karts? Long shot, but a guy can hope.

I'm just waiting for DS Rainbow Road.

It was probably too optimistic to hope the DLC's GCN Wario/Waluigi pick would be Wario Colosseum, wasn't it?

They've already used Waluigi Stadium once before, so maybe it's just the stage Nintendo likes better.

I'm not sure if it's the year and a half of Mario Kart rust, but man I could have sworn I was better at 200cc.

Any tips to help me improve?

Do not underestimate how much more important braking is. It goes from a button exclusively used for when you royally eff up, to one that gives you significantly more control over your turns at those speeds and lets you take corners tighter than ever. Get used to lightly tapping it while drifting and 200cc becomes a lot smoother.

With how much more difficult it is to control yourself at high speeds, and by extension how much more useful the brake is, lightweight characters get to shine in 200cc, as their lower top speed combined with their greater acceleration makes it much easier to stay under control.

Huh, I expected an August drop for this one. Not complaining, mind you, just thought we were going to get the same "March, August, December" rhythm that the first three waves had.

Interesting that the trailer for Squeaky Clean Sprint shows an attack as they fly over the toilet. I wonder if it’s possible to knock opponents straight into the bowl? (Generally in this game, Lakitu grabs you before you actually hit water or lava or whatever.)

Huh, I wasn't aware Wario Stadium and Wario Colosseum have never been a retro track in any MK game.

The only Wario retro track we've gotten is fucking GOLD MINE.

No it’s stadium that typically isn’t liked. Lots of people like Goldmine me included.

The 64 one or the DS one?

I’ve been seeing a lot of backlash towards the 64 one.

I personally love that course so I don’t really get it.

Same with 64’s Rainbow Road.

Why is the L on Luigi's hat on Double Dash's cover backwards when it's meant to be frontwards?

Because he's Waluigi in disguise.

Presumably because they mirrored that artwork before they composited it into the box art (the entire image isn’t mirrored, because the DK kart is correct), and no one noticed the L. The M’s didn’t matter.
