Plenty of movies in the 70s were set in the 70s.
World War One. I would love to see more World War One movies.
"Sarchasm: The gulf between the author of sarcastic wit and the person that doesn't get it."16th and 17th century in Europe.
Honestly, I'd love to see a Hollywood movie about the thirty years' war.
^^Well, I implied modern movies. But you are right. Every decade has a majority of its movies set in that decade.
I liked Troy, but I wouldn't mind another big Rome movie.
The Napoleonic Wars.
Hell, any war that isn't WWII or Vietnam.

There are some Civil War movies, I believe.
COLD WAR MOVIE
We already have Metal Gear Solid 3
"Sarchasm: The gulf between the author of sarcastic wit and the person that doesn't get it."I said Movi- oh wait you said Metal Gear :p
World War One is certainly an era that needs more films. Especially more non-WWI related films. Perhaps a horror set in the trenches, or a fantasy film to do with zeplins. Or maybe Soldiers and Aliens.
The real problem with most films is that the futher back they go the more they become a mere period film. The exceptions are any film with sword fighting and such, those are more like fantasy without the fantasy than any real historical film.
Most time periods are underrepresented in films. As for interesting ones, I wouldn't mind more 1970's films, early cold war years, 1920's, WW 1, pre 1066 Europe.
But really, anything that makes effecttive use of it's timeline while being somewhat period accurate would be great.
Am I a good man or a bad man?I'd like more movies set in the 90s. This may sound weird, but that whole 95-96 feel was over 10 years ago. I think this time period is so ripe with possible Nostalgia.
What with a new generation forming from those years and beginning to grow up, that is definitely true.
In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.A 90s Period Piece would want me to digest my vomit and then shit the vomit on said film.
"Sarchasm: The gulf between the author of sarcastic wit and the person that doesn't get it."I'm guessing you didn't like the 90s?
No, not really, and nostalgia makes me nauseous.
"Sarchasm: The gulf between the author of sarcastic wit and the person that doesn't get it."To both of those statements: Why?

Banned entirely for telling FE that he was being rude and not contributing to the discussion. I shall watch down from the goon heavens. Not necessarily a decade, but I could definitely go for some more films involving Norse mythology and intrigue involving the subject as well. Most likely appearing in the...

In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move. And more accurate depiction, too. I'm sick of unwashed barbarians and horned helms.

"Sarchasm: The gulf between the author of sarcastic wit and the person that doesn't get it."The Great Depression. but not set in a big city. Or at least not New England. There was a lot going on!
Second Boer War. It always sounds like it would make for good movies when I read about it.

i. hear. a. sound. That reminds me. I'd like more stuff from the 20s to 50s that isn't set in New York City. Or even America really.
Actually a Der Ring with more historically accurate costumes (though, of course, still very ornate as opera costume has to be) would be awesome.

What time periods do you think should have more movies take place in them? I personally think there should be more movies set in the 70s.
