I'm writing a short story (maybe novel if I can stretch it out) about a scientist who is snatched to a future to see the ramifications of his ridiculously advanced creations in the hands of an oppressive government. He's dumped back into the present and resolves to keep it out of their hands. Written as a first-person narrative, Vanguard is kinda an epic tale of an anti-hero/scientist/warrior poet who adds another goal to his quest to keep the otherwise mundane quest interesting: heroism.
