It's not bad. I've not played the game in years, but it was fun to see life inside the world of the cards. Gonna have to keep an eye on this one.
(V)(;,,;)(V)Considering most MTG player's attitudes towards other card games like Digimon, Pokemon, and Yu Gi Oh(as in, they sneer at them for being animu).....don't this demographic usually hate anime/manga?

"Every opinion that isn't mine is subjected to Your Mileage May Vary."-Looks at all the MTG books on book shelf-
-Sees that none of them got made into a manga-
-Sobs-
"What a century this week has been." - Seung Min KimSince Moe Tsukinu Honoo, is being made for the Japanese Magic audience. The fact that western Magic Audience tends to dislike Anime isn't an Issue.
I'm rather fond of the manga, it's first chapter at least. It did take some time to "adjust "to the cuteness of the art style and lighter story tone. Personally I'd prefer a Magic: The Gathering Manga to have a more serious tone and art style. Like Akira, Ghost In The Shell or Trigun.
Seeing Chandra Nalaar go from being a pretty Young woman with Hot Blooded Idiot tendencies, Cool Big Sister status and one level in Determinator. To being a teenage Genki/Plucky Girl; was just a tad jarring.

" Magic is a method of talking to the universe in words that it cannot ignore."
No your eyes don't deceive you, there really is manga adaptation of Magic:The Gathering http://www.mangareader.net/magic-the-gathering. The Manga is centered on Chandra Nalaar and seems to be loosely based on her novel The Purifying Fire.
