I have a comics script that I would like to send out to publishers; unfortunately, as best as I can tell, there are a total of two publishers who will accept submissions from a writer without an artist. (Breaking into comics as a writer sucks.) I'd like to think I can write a pretty good script, but I can't draw this myself.
The comic is a "Renaissance Noir" - a story set in a late medieval/early Renaissance world. (Fantasy-ish, but there's nothing supernatural.) The art style I envision is probably black and white and fairly realistic. (Batman The Animated Series is a big influence, and that's about as cartoony as I could see this project working.)
As said, I have a pitch ready — a synopsis, a script, and, if you want, setting and character descriptions. It seems like most comics publishers are looking for at least eight pages of art for a pitch. I'm also open to the idea of a webcomic.
As for me, while I have not published comics before, I have decent publishing credentials in fiction and nonfiction elsewhere, albeit of a very different genre than this story. However, comics have always been one of my most beloved media, and this story is dear to my heart.
