Zero glared at Sabrina.

"What's that supposed to mean? You trust the girl who stabbed herself with a knife more than me? And you think I'm someone who'll attack another without much reason? Because I don't have much reason to trust her, in fact I barely have much to go on with any of you, but I also won't attack someone unless they give me good reason to believe they're an enemy. I'm not Archer."

Sabrina

"I have set up a telepathic channel with Junko," Sabrina explained to Zero. "If Lune attacks Junko, all Junko has to do is send a message to me and I can return to stop Lune."

"I would hear it even if I were outside the room, so I am going wait right outside the room," Sabrina declared to Zero. "There is no point for me to remain here any longer."

Lune - Completely Uncalled For

"...you do realize that I'm still here, right?"

Frankly Lune was getting a bit annoyed that poeple treated her like she was some convicted serial killer, just because she had to relieve her frustration on herself once. True, she really enjoyed being violent, and if not for the choker on her neck and the situation they were going through at the moment, Archer would be already drowning in a pool of his own blood... but it was still frustrating that some stupid humans kept talking about her as if she was a feral animal right on her face. She wasn't actually offended, though. Just annoyed.

"I have feelings too, you know," she stated, sporting a rather evident frown. "So you two can stop the 'serial killer' treatment already. Or do you treat everyone you meet that way too?"

Junko's Room

Whew, okay! Um...Some time later, do you think we can talk?...I got something I want to tell you, but I don't really want anybody else to know... Junko kept a straight face as she consciously thought towards Sabrina.

Outside of her mind, she decided to pipe in, if only to try and get Sabrina, Zero and Azaka out of there as soon as possible. She did want some time to learn about Lune, after all.

"Hmmm, Zero. Do you really want to stay in my room that badly? It's kinda cute that you wanna be around me so much..." The fashionista smirked, wondering if she could bother the Reploid into leaving.

"But seriously, I'll be fine. Lune won't hurt me." She said in a sure tone, almost with a sense of arrogance. "I don't get hurt easily."

"Besides, if you guys could hear...whatever happened, from out there, I'm sure you'd be able to hear me scream, If I need to. I'm a reeeeally good screamer."

And of course, I'll keep in touch with you, Sabrina.

Sabrina

Yes, Junko, we can talk later, Sabrina sent back to the girl, and then looked at Lune. "You stabbed your own arms, so I think we have a reason to be worried about Junko's safety."

"But I'll trust you to not harm Junko, if that's what you and Junko want." Sabrina crossed her arms, and left the room, though she did wait right outside as she said she would.

Lune - One Down, Two To Go

"Fine, I'll be a good girl and won't hurt yo-I mean Junko while we're alone."

Lune out a sigh after Sabrina finally left the room, before taking eating what was left of her chocolate bar. The girl probably wouldn't understand her situation, even if she tried to explain. Besides, she couldn't just tell her that she was a devil, as it would probably make everything worse, choker or no choker. So she had to keep pretending she was human for the time being.

A human who actually wanted to stab Sabrina more than she wanted to stab Junko, for that matter.

Now, to get rid of Zero... luckily, Junko's comment could make things so much easier... She wasn't going to add anything, though. Just staring at him with a smirk should be enough to make him uncomfortable at least. However, not used to showing that kind of expressions, what should have been a sly look turned out rather... disturbing instead.

After Junko's annoying comment and Sabrina's reassurance, Zero actually was finally going to leave.

However... Lune then made that face.

It certainly DID make Zero uncomfortable, but rather than making him want to leave, it completely backfired and sent him right back to not sure leaving would be a good idea.

He glared at Lune and said, "What's with that look?"

Lune - Zero Likes Junko, Zero Likes Junko~!

"Heheh... so that was the reason," Lune replied, taking her efforts to annoy Zero a tiny bit further. "It wasn't about trust at all. You just wanted to have some 'alone time' with Junko, didn't you?"

She had to admit that, even though the others were quite annoying, screwing with them was actually fun.

Junko

"Hm...'alone time'..."

Smiling, Junko decided to play along with Lune. She began to blush while deliberately averting her eyes from Zero.

"Hmmmmm...I guess you are kinda dashing, for a robot, I guess..." The teenage girl intentionally mumbled aloud.

"But I have standards, y'know! First we gotta go on a couple of dates, if you wanna hit the romance flag, then, you'd need to buy me at least a few gifts, my favorite type of flowers....Then, maybe you can get a kiss...Do robots kiss? That might feel a little weird...maybe just a warm hug..." She rambled on, trying in every way to bug the Reploid into leaving.

Zero, being mostly emotionless, didn't change expression at all.

"You know, another reason I'm not sure about leaving, besides Lune being a questionable guard at best, is the fact Junko still hasn't shared what exactly happened in here. So I'm not sure I trust her to share anything that DOES happen, even with that psychic link with Sabrina."

Lune - Annoyance Backfire

"Can't expect her to tell you everything," Lune stated, returning to her usual neutral expression. "A girl does need her privacy, you know?"

So Zero didn't trust either of them. Not really surprising considering she had been evading the topic, but... it was really annoying. Luckily, Junko was somewhat contributing a bit to kick Zero out of the room. It wasn't surprising, though; she'd want everyone out if she had something to hide too.

...she'd want everyone out of the room.

Yet Junko seemed to be particularly enthusiastic about keeping her around for some reason.Even though it was all happening because Junko was almost caught trying to hide something. Not to mention that she somehow had a psychic link with Sabrina, who was conveniently waiting outside in case something went wrong, and to whom Junko had already been talking to, mainly to ask all kinds of questions.

Suddenly the whole situation reeked of ambush.

"...can I talk to you for a sec?" the devil asked, her eyes focused on the reploid. "Now, if you don't mind."

Lune - Necesssary Precautions

Having gotten Zero's approval, Lune walked up to him in order to have a word with him without Junko listening. The girl didn't need to hear what she was about to say.

"Look, there's something very fishy about this whole thing, and I'm pretty sure you've noticed it by now," she whispered once she was close enough, grabbing Zero by the shoulder. "She clearly wants you out, and honestly so do I, but she has no problem with keeping me around her for now. In fact, she probably wants me to stay in the room, by the look of things."

"Now, I have no idea why she wants me here, but I do want to find out, so..." she took a small pause, and then stated her offer. "If I find a way to let you know if something happens, will you get out?"

Junko

Junko sat back, making no attempt to listen. She wasn't all that happy to see the two now suspiciously talking away from her. Maybe she was just saying something to get Zero off their backs...or maybe, she couldn't trust Lune as much as she expected to.

...Not that she was expecting to trust her a lot anyway.

She frowned and looked away, now feeling excluded and bored.

Zero still didn't trust Lune all that much, but now she all of a sudden got concerned. Even if her reasons were selfish, maybe she would be willing to share if something went wrong.

Lune - Free Sensors, $30 Each

"Good."

Having settled that, Lune began to rummage through her bag once more, until she finally dug out a horned skull-shaped device bigger than her open palm, and handed it to Zero.

"Beeps and red flashing means something's wrong," the devil explained, and then pointed to her own sensor attached to her bag. "If something happens outside, just press the button in the left eye, but it better be important. Got it?"

"Alright."

Zero wasn't sure what the device was, and still wasn't entirely comfortable leaving Junko and Lune alone, but he finally turned and left the room.

Junko's Room; Max Occupancy: 2

Apparently buying whatever the green-haired girl had to tell him, Zero seemed to finally concede, moving for the exit of her fantastically decorated domain. She supposed the Azaka girl had slipped out some time before as well.

Once she was sure Zero had left, Junko turned back to Lune with another faint smile.

"Man...glad they're finally gone, right?" She yawned, stretching her arms out.

"...Now, it's just you and me." An unnervingly playful look flashed in the pink-haired girl's eyes, but only for a moment. It was just as quickly replaced with a look of dissonant calmness.

With no one other than her and Lune now in the room, Junko finally got up, out of her bed.

The fashionista began to move towards the vanity table on the opposite end of the room, taking a seat in front of it and checking her appearance in the mirror.

"Soooooo....I got questions for you, and I'm sure you got questions for me. Otherwise, why would you be here, right?" She made no attempt to make eye contact with the horned girl, instead focusing intently on messing with her hair.

"So...since you're probably dying to ask me something, go first."

Lune - Peaceful Conversation

And at last, they were alone.

Lune watched Zero left the room, with a faint smirk popping up briefly. The sensor seemed to be enough to convince the reploid to leave the duo alone in Junko's room, provided that she activated it if something got out of hand. Sabrina, in the meantime, had left after Junko established some telepathic connection with her or something. For a pair of complete strangers, Zero and Sabrina sure took many precautions to ensure other people's safety.

Either way, now she and Junko were the only people left in the room. And apparently, all she wanted to do was... ask questions. Not ambush her, not share her secret, not discuss ways to rip organs out of people without killing them. Just ask questions, possibly to get to know each other better.

"Hehe... right..." Lune answered, slightly amused by the fact that before entering the room, the only question she had planned on asking was "Do you understand, or should I carve it in your forehead?" right after giving Junko a short list of things she should avoid doing while Lune was around. However, she actually found the teenager to be quite intriguing in a way. Maybe they would get along after all.

"Me first, huh..." the devil pondered for a couple of seconds before a suitable question came to mind. "Okay... how did you become such a good liar?"

The Doctor coughs. "There are many psychics in the groups and the Urizen I felt his own power. He cracks one of our minds and he could have this information in a heartbeat. He even could have cracked one of our own minds. Keep your minds locked up ladies and gentlemen, we have a burglar of thoughts on the loose. As for the dragon...if we burn it we might lose the ability to find a cure. This creature was a key element of the Urizen's plan to poison the populace. On the other hand its body might need to be destroyed to lift the curse and the poison. I leave it to those who understand these sorts of powers well. Speaking of which..."

The Doctor waves Sazh, Fluttershy and Sayaka over. Whoever of them comes over he then whispers to them. "You three have the most experience with this kind of stuff. Magic or the science of words or whatever we wish to call it today. Look at Kyoko. That bright red gem of hers...it looks...splotchy. I don't remember there being black spots in it and I'm not seeing any in Sayaka's really. Is this just an indication of how much power they've burned? A sort of meter or gauge like the gas on an automobile or plane?"

Junko's Room; Queen of Liars

As Lune questioned her, Junko searched the top of the vanity, quickly finding a pink hair brush. Taking off her bear hairclips, she she slowly started to brush her hair.

"Oh, me? A good liar? Where'd you get that idea?" She said dumbly, with a hint of passive sarcasm.

"Hmmm....well, if you really wanna know..." She paused for a moment, taking a few seconds to visibly think, before continuing to brush her hair.

"Okay! Let's look at it this way...."

"What makes a lie different from the truth? I don't mean, in the literal definition sense or anything like that, but, what makes a person distinguish their own lies from the truth?"

With only a slight pause, Junko continued.

"Simple, right? One thing you say you know is false, the other thing you know is true. You know it is. Knowing, is pretty much how your brain processes this stuff—Knowing, that what you're saying isn't true, obviously makes it a lie, even to yourself..."

"...So, what if, I'm a good liar because, I don't know what a lie is? What if, someone lived their whole lives based on a lie? What if, I actually believe everything I say to myself, every thing that I do? What if, my brain processes everything I say as the truth?"

She paused once again, turning around to face Lune.

"...Or, what if, everything I just said was all just a lie that I quickly came up with, and just keep adding on to, just to mess with you?" The teenage girl flash a another eerily wide smile.

"The answer is, you don't know. And, I guess, that I don't really know either!"

"I will tell you one truthful thing though: I know plenty of people that are wayyyyy better than me at lying. Whether they were lying to themselves or others. I went school with them, so...I guess you could say...they definitely helped me. You could say that this was their philosophy?" She asked, almost as if asking herself.

"Not mine, though. I've honestly never thought too much on stuff like lying before."

"So, I'm sure you can find the answer to your question somewhere in all of that..."

"Now, it's my turn!" She said excitedly.

"What are you, Lune?" She stared directly into the horned girl's eyes.

"And please, don't say something boring, like a human."

Azaka had taken the hint a while back and decided to get out of Junko's room. Its not like pestering her would yield anything, and the two in their seemed....off.

There was still a problem though, she was still stuck here. She sighed defeatedly. With no clear way back the way she came she decided to explore the place a bit.

Lune - "Average Horned Girl"

Lune listened to Junko's rather long explanation about what lies were, how she might believe everything she said, how she might be lying at that very moment, and about how her schoolmates were all liars. It was a rather complex philosophical argument defining her perceptions of "lie" and "truth", and trying to define the point where the division took place.

Sure, it was most likely just a huge pile of elaborate bullshit that probably not even Junko herself believed, but it was still impressive that she could come up with something so complex on the spot.

"Don't worry, I got it," the devil summed up, smirking in amusement. "Funny, I actually thought you were going to try and avoid the question."

Moving on, Junko's question was rather tricky. Lune was well aware that she couldn't just tell her outright what she actually was (since Junko was clearly not a devil herself), but it was very clear that the teenager knew she wasn't just a human. Sure, horns could pass as a very rare birth defect, but they really weren't, and she wasn't gonna buy that anyway. So being vaguely honest was probably the best way to do it.

"Not allowed to say, actually," the green-haired girl began explaining, deciding to make a light blue bean bag appear to make herself comfortable. "It's kind of a delicate issue. Some might freak out if they found out the truth, so we've got to pose as normal people."

"So I am, for all purposes, just a very violent girl with horns," Lune stated, but then make a quick correction. "Except for the violent part, because we're also not allowed to harm people. So no fun for me, I guess."

"Anyway, that's all I can really say about it," she concluded, turning her head towards Junko. "Anything else you want to ask? I can think of a question later."
