Lollipop Chainsaw - by Grasshopper Manufacture

How many people actually bought Catherine for the boobs? My general impression was that most people had heard the rave reviews and got the game for that.

I don't have Catherine (yet), but my interest in it is based on the fact that it's an Atlus game and that the creators of Persona worked on it.

Likewise, what drew me into LC is that it's a Suda51 game. I really liked NMH, in gameplay and "style" and generally heard good things about his games, even though the gameplay seems to be polarizing (but I already heard about the super-linear Killer7 by then, so I wasn't surprised).

My interest in zombie stuff isn't all that big anymore and a fanservice-y protagonist doesn't change that. So, I wouldn't have bought it (especially not at full price) just for that. Especially no after my last experiences with a fanservice-laden zombie apocalypse work...

Of course, I'm really only talking about myself here. Most buyers probably don't even have an idea who Suda51 is.

Ironic, as lot of people know that you can buy High School Of The Dead Skins in Lollipop Chainsaw...

I wouldn't call it "ironic". It's pretty appropriate. Except that HotD presents it's fanservice completely straight, without even a hint of satire. Which in turn is actually quite appropriate again, since it pretty much in line with the game's point, concerning the "sex sells" thing. Especially, if many LC players are indeed fans of HotD (which wouldn't be surprising at all).

Many of them are probably My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic and Harely Quinn fans as well (Since tara Strong does Twilight sparkle, Harely, and Juliet.)

X X Square is nice but I prefer Square Square Square Square X. Or The Everything in front of you dies combo.

Was this game ever free for playstation plus?

Lollipop getting some GOTY recognition, who would've thought.

• Published by Dragami Games, produced by the producer of the OG game Yoshimi Yasuda, and developed by a fusion of vets from the OG game and new people.
• No formal title or platforms have been announced yet.
• Good news: it's recreating the original with new graphics. Bad news: due to licensing issues, the music will be brand new with a few licensed tracks.

That's unfortunate, i really enjoyed the tracks from the original.

The real question is will The Chordettes be replaced? I hope not because Lollipop is the one song I always associate with the game (Sorry Toni Basil).

Is Tara Strong coming back?

Aw man, I can't run over zombies with a combine harvester to the tune of "You Spin Me Right Round Baby" anymore.

Don't worry. We'll get a Jimmy Hart Version of the song instead.

Suda and Gunn are not apart of this, and neither is Grasshopper Manufactor.

My excitement has dropped a bit, but not enough to drop the game entirely.

Wait really?

Isn't he the original creator of the game?

Gunn played a decent part in development, but he wasn't the creator and neither is Suda as he was the creative director.
