Yeesh! And I thought that Yu-Gi-Oh! had it bad with production issues and behind the scenes-drama!
"Death's vastness holds no peace. I come at the end of the long road—neither human, nor devil... All bends to my will." -Demifiend.Habu, Digimon game producer tweeted that there'll be Info on a new Digimon game this summer and it's not a Story or World game, it's something new.
Also according to him, overseas sales of Digimon games were about three times higher than domestic sales in Japan so that probably means Bamco will keep localizing them.
Huh, so were buying their shit more than they are?
Hmmh, interesting. Always fun to see a Metroid situation.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."I sure do agree there! Germans Love David Hasselhoff indeed!
Discord: Waido X 255#1372 If you cant contact me on TV Tropes do it here. So, how would you feel about a series where the protagonist/leader Digimon's evolutions are based around long range combat? Just an idea. It could add some variety.

Mega Man fanatic extraordinaireLeaders' Digimon tend to have evolutionary lines with at least one ranged attack for each form above Rookie level (or equivalent), with the only exception I'm reasonably sure of being Gumdramon/Arresterdramon. If you mean a digivolution line specializing in ranged attacks, that would be fairly interesting as it could be used to force the protagonists to think more strategically.
Veemon didn't have a long range attack either.
V-headbut, which he rarely used anyway.
One Strip! One Strip! So like say a Snipermon who's main weapon is a sniper-rifle with possibly only a combat knife as a last resort.
While most of the main mons have a long-range attack, its in conjunction with a primary close-range fight style (claws, lances, swords) compared to the lancer mons who are all about long-range fighting (basically going full dakka with a shit-ton of guns & missiles) while generally lacking any form of close range weaponry.
This is due to gun-play & fighting from a safe distance not really scene as very protagonist qualities. Its considered more admirable & MC-ish to enter a fight full-throttle & kill things with your bare hands than laying back & shoot them before they can even touch you.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."His evolutions have plenty of ranged attacks though.
(So, how would you feel about a series where the protagonist/leader Digimon's evolutions are based around long range combat?) Ex Veemon/Paildramon/Imperialdramon all do that under Davis and Ken, and 02 isn't exactly the best beloved series.
Surely the hate for it has died down somewhat?
If anything, the hate for 02 has actually increased over the years as more production troubles come to light for it.
Not to mention that the creators implied that Tai and Hikari have incestual feelings for each other....(I expect that in doujins, but in series it is rather awkward).

Watch SymphogearThe Imperialdramon forms really got shafted by the writing. It never really had the impact the other big protagonist Digimon had.

Wake me up at your own risk.Which is a shame, because Imperialdramon Paladin Mode is literally the equivalent of King Arthur and the founder of the royal knights despite not officially being a member (his seat is the empty seat) and ergo is the strongest of all them by proxy (outside of certain members super forms, like Gallantmon X or Gallant Mon Crimson mode, Omegamon X and now the Holy Version Alphamon Ouryuken, and Ulforce Veedramon Future Mode).
Watch SymphogearWasn't Alphamon's seat the empty seat?
My mistake, but Imperialdramon Paladin Mode is still the founder.
Watch SymphogearYou know, I'm surprised they've never done anything with any of the chosen digimon possibly being reincarnations of members of certain Mega Digimon groups. Imagine protagonist digimon who was a Royal Knight in it's past life and the conflict that could bring when it regains it's memories and starts clashing with it's partner.
Looking at the likes of Junomon and Leopardmon on the wiki, makes me wonder how would a Digimon partner that comes from them, and have bursts of their personalities coming out would be something to see.
Wake me up at your own risk. The Empty Seat is reserved for the Knight to find the Grail, which is Galahad (in at least one version of the mythology) rather than Arthur, so there's no issue between Paladin Mode being one Arthur analogues (Examon being the other, per his Pendragon's Glory attack) and Alphamon being the Empty Seat filler.

New Digimon Project To Be Revealed On July 21, Special Live Stream Event On July 29
The storm has now resided, the wolf now rests. To be more specific, the new project is a new videogame that will be revealed in the V-Jump issue that comes out on the 21st. The live stream will be of the Digimon Thanksgiving event in Japan. The stream will be on both You Tube and Nico Nico. We will probably be getting some new information at that event.
Digimon Survive for PS4 and Switch announcement
Hesitantly excited because the tone and gameplay details are very much my thing and Hacker's Memory made me confident they could pull off a nuanced protagonist especially with the protag as the only focus in this Digital World
Also this isn't the only Digimon video game in development, there's still a new Digimon Story game in development.

Same. As much as I love the franchise the games tend to vary in quality. Dusk was fun though I never beat it, Championship wore out its welcome quickly, and while I've heard good things about Cyber Sleuth the way it blocks off areas is stupid. Hopefully this'll be as good as Cyber Sleuth is said to be but without the stupid restrictions.

The miscommunication being either he told nobody or he only told a couple of people. Another thing he did about the Matt and Sora couple was change the image shown at the end of Diaboromon's Revenge when it was part of on of the cds. The change being switching Sora and Kari around since Tai and Sora were standing next to each other.
Wow a page topper. I did not expect that to happen.
