You mean the final movie?

Movie 6, maybe they will pull a gundam unicorn and make a 7th movie or a dragonball super and continue it as a tv series. Unlikely, but not ruled out yet.

Well digimon openings and endings used to have what they called a "memorial version" which was a version sang by the actual voice actors. Butterfly already had the male characters singing it:

I know what I'm doing today.

I heard that the English Version of the fifth movie will be released on May 10th in theaters, five days, technically 6 for us, after the last movie.

Digimon Tamers is still as whip smart and exciting as I remember but god I hate Ryo so much.

Why do you hate the boy from the Adventure universe who ended up in Tamers universe?

Because he's a screentime black hole who's cooler than everyone and everyone likes him and Rika becomes a brat in his presence and he gets a powerup that by all rights should be impossible so he can get a boner and save the day.

This stuff sucks since we don't have the extra material.

It's actually kinda funny, since I heard that Ryo was supposed to have a far bigger role in Tamers but the main writer deciided to go against that.

So Konaka didn't like him either huh?

Honestly, it might have been better to just not put him in, but I imagine that wasn't his call to make.

Corporate executives wanted him in there to advertise the video games. He got added in late in production.

So its less that Konaka didn't like him and more that Konaka's plans for the series were made without him in mind.

You know as much as I loved this show when I was a kid, I wonder if it was too dark and too serious for kids.

Anyway I finished my watch and surprise surprise, Tamers is still really good. This really was the season where the censors were asleep with the death and violence and the part where a small child has a nightmare sequence involving a monster version of her dog puppet.

So I was away from the thread for a bit because I thought the last tri movie came out and I didn't want spoilers.

Obviously it's not out yet, not for another two weeks.

According to Wikipedia, the last Tri movie comes out on May 5.

...I actually find hard to believe that Tri started back on November of 2015, 3 years ago.

Yeah the end of Tri is tomorrow morning. Don't see how it'll be a satisfying ending but at least it'll be over soon.

All I wanted was an Ophanimon vs Lilithmon catfight.

This series denied me that. I'll finish it, and I probably won't even hate it, but it's dead to me now.

The Digimon franchise just can't do sequels...though I'd still be ok with them trying with either Tamers or Applimonsters.

...Unless you count the various games, altrough in the case of the Digimon games. The sequel games tend to be unrelated-story wise. (With the exception of Ryo's games I imagine.)

I'm planning on finishing the first Cyber Sleuth game after God of War so I'm curious:

Let's see, the entries in which the Royal Knights have acted as antagonists are...

Cyber Sleuth, Frontier, Savers/Data Squad, X-Evolution, I dont know if Tri counts since I dont they have ever said "Royal Knights"-out loud there. They also appeared in the D-Cyber manhwa but I dont remember if they were antagonists there.
