Formerly known as Bleddyn And I am feeling like a ghost Resident Perky GothSo I watched the gameplay trailer and the walkthrough and man Emily is just as brutally efficient as Corvo. If not moreso due to Shadow Walk and Domino...
Formerly known as Bleddyn And I am feeling like a ghost Resident Perky GothEmily does seem to be built more towards combat than stealth, though I think it's safe to assume it wouldn't necessarily be the case. It just seems that Emily's abilities seem to lean more towards being able to quickly and efficiently take down targets as opposed to Corvo's maneuverability and scouting abilities.

The contents of the collectors edition and a surprise reveal of the main antagonist.
It's Delilah, looks like Daud went low chaos and she either broke out of the painting or her minions broke her out. Or maybe she regenned from getting stabbed in the gut and mouth/spine. She's also confirmed to be a Kaldwin (presumably a Kaldwin bastard given her low station when she was a child).

If she is indeed a Kaldwin bastard, that actually gives her name an extra layer of meaning. Instead of being born with a silver spoon in her mouth, her status as a bastard means she was only born with a copper spoon.

Hitokiri in the streets, daishouri in the sheets.Holy fuck.
There's a new gameplay style in Dishonored 2 called "Flesh and Steel".
You can literally say "No" to the Outsider and play the game without any powers at all. No Blink, No Far Reach, No Mesmirize, NO POWERS AT ALL.
Oh my god.
It's an expansion of a trophy from the first game that you could only get by never using a rune for powers in the entire game(so you were stuck with Blink so that you could actually get into a bunch of places that would be way too hard otherwise).

Yeah, I figured it was Delilah. Seems Daud didn't finish the job like he thought and Delilah's going for more overt methods.
Except this time you get to personally tell the Outsider to fuck off. And if you want to use powers, you have to start the game over.
That's why I said expansion. Enough players liked it for it to be its own thing now.
Hopefully we don't get a bad ending or something just for using Outsider powers.
Hopefully we can put down Copperspoon for good this time.

Politics is the skilled use of blunt objects.I'm pretty sure that's not gonna happen; a vast majority of people wil be playing because of the freedom the powers give. Forcing us to a bad end for playing the way most players are going to be playing is just shooting yourself in the foot from a developer standpoint.
Hitokiri in the streets, daishouri in the sheets.Plus using the powers is vital just for getting through parts of the game.
Where are you getting this stuff about the flesh and steel mode from?

Thank you.
I might actually try out that challenge. Mostly Flesh and Steel gave a bit of challenge, but once you got used to how the game worked, it isn't actually that difficult to finish the game as long as you aren't aiming for a Ghost or Clean hands playthrough. A pure Flesh and Steel playthrough sounds like a real challenge.
Hitokiri in the streets, daishouri in the sheets.Mostly flesh and steel quickly becomes a nightmare if you're silly like me and try to do it on very hard along with ghost and clean hands. So many reloads...
The first two assassins in the Flooded District also become the toughest thing in the game without bend time or alternate routes. They took more than 20 damn reloads to get past.
I wonder if you get a different Outsider narration with flesh and steel if you mange to go through. Impressing the Outsider to mark you is no easy task, but having said person go "Fuck you I don't need your help, now watch me as I accomplish my goals" surely must be something.
Wonder if it's possible to ghost/clean hand/Flesh and Steel all in one. And if it is, won't it risk being too easy when you actually have powers?
It'll probably be doable but difficult, they're fond of having multiple ways to do things, it should be easy enough for them to make it possible to get all three challenges done at once.
In the new trailer you see her pull a sword out of her chest, with no wound. It's likely Daud did try to kill her, but clearly being stabbed by sharp things doesn't really have much effect on her.

If Delilah Is really Jessamine's bastard sister, I wonder if that's a discovery she made recently. Assuming it's true.

I doubt it. If you Choose to kill her in Knife of Dunwall by knocking her out and doing the ritual on her as she's sucked into the painting she screams that "She took my life"
Not necessarily better, but different. If I recall game informer made a coverage about how Corvo loses a lot of his evolved abilities and has to build them back up. I'm assuming Delilah Copperspoon is going to have some sort of connection to Corvo having to rebuild his powerset.
