I may get this.
Also, this needs to get a bunch of sequels so Square can increase the amount of awkwardness in their game titles.
Theatrhytm Operatum Saltatum: Final Fantasy
Actually the first Mana game is a Final Fantasy spin-off (the Japanese title is even Seiken Densetsu: Final Fantasy Gaiden). Although the sequels have abandoned this idea, so whether this still counts...

People aren't as awful as the internet makes them out to be.The Chocobo games predate FFT. And Bahamut Lagoon was originally supposed to be a spinoff. And there's Final Fantasy Mystic Quest...
Considering that they later remade that game, excising the Final Fantasy elements...
I have a message from another time...And the EU version of Mystic Quest doesn't have the FF name.
But the NA and JP versions do
And the remake doesn't even there. About as close as you get to Canon Discontinuity in the codifier for Non-Linear Sequel.
Besides, none of the other spin-offs have anything as neat as FFT music wise, which is important in a music game.

I didn't find the music of FFT very impressive. I'd more curious how FFMQ's music sounds on real guitars.
People aren't as awful as the internet makes them out to be.I would suggest Tactics A2's music, but it turns out that much of that is just XII's music.
I have a message from another time...I just realized: I guess the title is supposed to be a combination of "theatre" and "rhythm"?
Welcome to th:|Yes. The official site says as much.
I can hear the mocking tone of your text, Electivirus! Just because I'm stupid doesn't mean...
Anyways, I have a PS 3. Har har.
Welcome to th:|This makes it look like the gameplay is going to something like Elite Beat Agents WITH D-PAD INPUTS.
I have a message from another time...So...what songs do you guys want in? Mine are kinda generic...
- VII: Aerith's Theme, the main theme, and...well, One-Winged Angel has a pretty good shot
- IX: Roses of May, A Place to Call Home, and Not Alone. Or replace any of those with Dark Messenger.
...Yeah, those are the only two where I remember much of the music...
Welcome to th:|Have to say the art style is kind of freaking me out. The characters have really vacant expressions.
Looks like Chocobo has his own level or mini-game or something.
I wonder if there'll be anything RPG-like about it - i.e. is this just the battle system or is it the whole game?
As I said in the other thread Colour me interested. I'm a sucker for Final Fantasy and I like a good rhythm game now and then.
That's the ugliest Ultros I've ever seen.
Meh I can look past art styles if the music/gameplay is good enough and from what I can see It certainly is good enough in my book so far
THAT THEME at 0:41 >:O.
Apocalypse: Dirge Of Swans. That is exactly what went through my head, watching that.
No.... 1:12 is where its at.
Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!
That is correct.
