The first guy should watch the movie, NOW.

The other guy needs to give up. A sixth season is not needed. Nor is anything else. The movie is a perfect end point.

The first Olga episode kind of bugs me.

Arnold's reprimand of Helga for changing the grade is justified but I still think Olga deserved just as much a reprimand for making a big deal about getting a still-good grade.

To be fair, Bob may have been willing to take a firmer approach but Miriam was kind of an enabler for Olga

Miriam: Leave her alone, Bob, She's depressed. Bob: Well she can't spend all day moping around the house. Miriam: Of course she can... I do

Fortunately it was really an "early installment weirdness" thing and future episodes did not depict Olga as an excessive perfectionist.

Miriam and Bob aren't enablers. They're the cause of Olga's issues. Olga doesn't freak out about the grade because she wants to be perfect. Or rather, she does, but that and the subsequent freakout are because her parents have pushed her to be perfect their whole lives.

We sure that's actually Craig Bartlett?

The blog has only one post, ever. Facebook won't let me post it because it thinks its spam. Craig hasn't posted this on social media.

Looks hoaxy.

The blog only started yesterday, but I see your point...surely other entertainment sites would have picked up this news...not just of the H.A revival, but the streaming service development.

I mean, Craig has an instagram with tens of thousands of followers. If he wanted to get the word out he would have posted it there, not on a dodgy blogspot that just got started yesterday.

He also, if I recall correctly, already announced on his primary social media that Nick passed on season six.

Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.

In the episode with Rhonda's slumber party, Helga points out the girls don't need to wear high heels when they are already taller than the boys.

Is it common in real life for the majority of 9-year-old girls to to be taller than the majority of 9 year-old boys?

People always say girls mature faster than boys but I thought that was puberty. How much Puberty do you go through at age 9?

It could be another case of a kid's show making elementary school kids act like teenagers. One episode has Arnold & the gang performing Romeo & Juliet: my school system didn't teach us Romeo & Juliet until we were high school freshman.

I was really glad they did the "Deconstructing Arnold" episode.

Even though most of Arnold's meddling had a positive result, I still sometimes felt he was a nosy parker and needed to mind his own business.

My one issue with "Deconstructing Arnold" is Arnold suggesting that Rhonda apologize to Curly.

I don't think Rhonda pretending to be Curly's secret admirer was as bad as Curly's annoying (and slightly creepy) behavior.

Rhonda was no angel but I still feel she was more a victim in "Deconstructing Arnold" than Curly was.

It's one thing to tell off Curly's behavior, on the other hand, it was still a stupid move to make up a fake admirer. While Curly's behavior is unacceptable as well, she also shouldn't lie to get him off her back.

If Deconstructing Arnold was made after Curly's Girl, I'd agree that Curly didn't really deserve an apology as anything except a courtesy.

But since it written before they had Curly completely cross the fucking line, blackmail her into dating him and then chase her down the street trying to cut off her hair, it does come down to her lying to him and then leading him on into thinking she was in love with him for ulterior motives.

It's still definitely one of those "I'm sorry for lying, but you're still a creep so knock it off" moments, though.

In "New Bully On The Block", Helga wants Arnold to intentionally miss a game-tying field goal so Ludwig will get the rights to Gerald Field and the 4th graders will only have to deal with one bully.

The problem is that it was established that Ludwig spent a few years in juvenile hall. Shouldn't that raise a flag that he could be a worse bully than Wolfgang?

I don't recall Wolfgang doing anything to indicate he belongs in juvenile hall. He was more of a teasing and pranking bully. The only physical act I recall him doing was stuffing kids into trash cans (who is he? Bob Knight?). The trash can thing was treated as more of a prank than an act of violence.

Did the show ever reuse the gag of Helga shouting "Arnooooooold" and Arnold, miles away, asking somebody if they heard something just now?

I thought they redid that "did you hear something just now" gag but only remember it happening in the Halloween episode.

Recently, I've decided to take another look at the timeline, and I've come to some interesting conclusions: Our main reference point for the temporal setting is Phil. Now, his grandfather being in the Tomato Incident makes perfect sense, because the Tomato Incident was part of the Northwest Boundary Dispute (which includes the 1859 Pig War), not the American Revolution. Phil turns 81 while Arnold is in 4th grade; he's also mentioned to have dropped out of 4th grade to get a job to help his family through the Great Depression, indicating he was born no earlier than 1919. The Veteran's Day episode shows that Phil was in the Battle of the Bulge, which occurred in December 1944-January 1945, and he was a Private at the time. Assuming he didn't lie about his age to join the Army, that would mean he was born no later than 1926. This places the main series sometime between 1999-2000 and 2006-2007, with the Jungle Movie set a little over a year after the end of the main series. Phil's grandfather died on his 91st birthday and was still alive when Phil was a boy, which is consistent with this timeline.

"Gerald Field, est. 1997" could simply be a non-canon Easter Egg, or 1997 could be the date that Ludwig took control of the lot, and it only turned into a trash heap after Ludwig got sent to juvie. This, in turn, points to the setting being in the earlier end of the range: 1999-2000 or 2000-2001. This is consistent with Big Bob's Beepers being in decline: Bob is failing to keep up with technology, and he isn't a good businessman to begin with, given that he's prone to ripping off clients and screwing over his partners. This also makes Rhonda's smartphone in the Jungle Movie more plausible: while smartphones were first introduced in 1999, the Blackberry Convergent Smartphone was released in 2002.

I would have preferred if The Jungle Movie was a 90s Period Piece. The smartphone references seem randomly tacked onto the setting.

In the Sally's Comet episode, Grandpa Phil mentions that he once fell off a mountain and broke every bone in his body.

I wonder what's the maximum number of bones you can simultaneously break without dying or being permanently paralyzed.

"Wasn't there an episode that showed Miriam becomes a functional person without Bob around?

"

If memory serve me right there is a episode were Miriam go back to work and become a workholic who left Helga around, I will said Miriam is a very objective driven chararter and her driking is a way to cope with that.

In one episode, Arnold is collecting rent from the tenants.

One tenant attempts, quite poorly, to convince Arnold he isn't hiding chickens in his apartment.

Why didn't the tenant just say the chickens were pets? The sign outside the building said "No Kids, Pets Okay".

The tenant was never seen in a future episode, indicating he may have eventually been evicted
