InuYasha: The Final Act English Dub...Where Is It?

So last May, Sango's voice actress confirmed that there was going to be an English dub for the new Inu Yasha series as seen here. So where is this dub? No new news has been released since then. It can't possibly take this long to dub around 28 episodes unless they've been having issues with casting or production. Has anyone heard any news since then?

I've been closely monitoring this situation and let's start with the basics.

At this point in time, there is no news whatsoever on when the dub will be aired or if it will even be aired.

Now, here are all the important reports I've been able to collect over these many months:

1.David Kaye and Monica Stori (the original dub voices for Sesshomaru and Kagome) are not returning but they did have replacements named about a year ago. Every other main VA WILL be returning.

2. As of August of last year, Richard Cox )Inuyasha) was in the studio dubbing.

3. Paul Dobson (Naraku) was finishing up his dub sessions as of the end of last year.

And that is the grand total of what we know at this point in time. They are probably done dubbing and I have no fucking clue what they're waiting for.

Way to go Viz. You had a huge amount of anticipation and interest for the supposed debut of the dub last September. Now it's almost a year later and only the die hard lifeless sacks like myself are still really paying attention.

So, I hope that helps. I'm genuinely sorry that I can't give you better news. I'm just very bitter by this point.

I thought it was coming probably never - so wow.

So say it might come out in a year or two? Great! I might have actually have gotten up to that point in the series by then.

Anyway, this is better than I thought the situation was.

Incidentally does anyone know when Final Act was originally released?

No Monica or David. But those were the two best voices. Any reason for that

Well Ms. Stori hasn't done anything in about 5 or 6 years. No one is sure where she is or what she's doing. So I'm guessing she just quit voice-acting so Ocean couldn't get her back.

I heard David Kaye moved somewhere else and was too busy doing stuff where he lives now.

Also I'm glad to see someone else who liked Kagome's English VA. :) There are a lot of people who hated her sadly.

I thought she was perfect.

Though besides her, Naraku's English VA is my favorite.

[up] Not working. Nevermind.

People hated Kagome's voice ? That voice was perfect.

I think it just had to do with the fact a lot of people hated Kagome period.

And Paul Dobson as Naraku is Audio Erotica for me.

I liked Kagome's VA too. No problem with it, or her character.

Sesshomaru's VA though... well, I can't really remember his dub voice, so I guess I won't be too bothered. Assuming the dub even comes out.

Yeah, as nice as Sessh's voice was, he's a very stoic and passive character. He doesn't really stand out like the others because they...ya know...emote.

And yay for Kagome fans.

There already was an English dub shown on Animax Asia, by the way.

Wasn't it like, totally awful?

Plus it's obvious people only care about the Viz/Ocean dub.
