Harem anime are like soccer. They go on for hours, nobody scores, and a million fans will insist that you just don't understand.

Hm. How so?

I mean, I've played Tales of Symphonia, which is kind of a deconstruction followed by reconstruction, at least as far as I understand the terms, so I'm intrigued.

All I know is that it takes place on a world that's said to be the bodies of 2 gods. (so you can travel to one gods ear for example).

I know little about the story and gameplay, only that it's very pretty, and by most accounts very good. On another forum, they had the topic "Biggest Gaming Surprises of 2011" and about 3 people put Xenoblade Chronicles down since they could stomache it for more than 30 hours despite not really liking modern JRP Gs. As someone who DOES like modern JRP Gs, I figure that's a good sign.

Taking a break from FE1, for the FE8 draft instead

I think Xenoblade involves the following: Two Gods, Bionis and Mechanos, warring in the distant past. Eventually they both die/sleep(?) and their bodies become populated by humans and machines respectively. The machines are evil and try to exterminate the humans. There's something about this one sword, the Monado, being the blade that can kill the Mechons or something like that. You play as the newest wielder of the Monado and travel around trying to defeat the Mechons.

Now I'm not sure if that's entirely accurate and I probably left out a bunch of stuff. However I believe that's the basic gist of things.

Ah, right. It used to be called Monado: History of the World, right?

Beginning of the World, actually, but good call, I'd forgotten that.

[up][up] You know I remember hearing that name before. I didn't realize it and Xenoblade were the same thing.

Well that explains what happened to that game.

Brief trailer Nintendo UK cooked up, featuring all three Op. Rainfall games, as well as The Legend Of Zelda Skyward Sword.

As for us Americans, do remember that Xenoblade is out this Friday!

Extreme Bump: There's a rumour bouncing around that XSEED is bringing over Pandora's Tower in the spring.

Nice. I heard it was just okay compared to the other two but I'll buy it anyway. If things like this aren't supported they could pull a stunt like this again.

I got the European version from my British aunt, and I have to say that while it isn't as big as Xenoblade or The Last Story, it's the most pick up and play out of all of them. The focus on three major characters actually helps the game, and the Towers are great to explore and the boss fights are a lot of fun.

I don't think it's as good as the other two, but it's a lot of fun.

A poll by OR for some possible Sega and Konami localizations.

As we announced on June 5th, 2013, we have entered a partnership with Language Automation, Inc., (LAI), a company that specializes in game localization. LAI will be offering companies a discount on their localization fee if the companies choose to localize the games the oprainfall community votes on and promotes. There may even be ways that certain individuals within the community could be elected to help with the localization process!

It is fair to note that even if a game wins a poll or has many votes, there is no guarantee that it will be localized. The poll’s purpose is to allow LAI to go to the publishers with some extra ammunition to help convince them to localize the game. If you ever wanted to see any of these games localized in the West, this could be the game’s best chance! So if you see a favorite game on the list, be sure to vote for it and send it to everyone you know to vote for it, as well.

Today, we bring you the first of hopefully many articles based on this partnership. As you will see below, we have two polls—one for SEGA games, and one for Konami games. These companies were chosen because LAI has worked on localization projects with them in the past. In case you are not familiar with any of the games listed, we have also provided descriptions so you’ll know what they’re about. Be sure to use the comments section to let us know why you voted for the game or games you would like to see localized!

Seriously, go vote for Valyria Chronicles III.
