Like the title says, what are your favorite short films?

I like the short film of 9, mainly because the feature film version is one of my favorite movies, [http://m.youtube.com/index?desktop_uri=%2F&gl=US#/watch?v=sdUUx5FdySs Kiwi] is really cute and sad, and [http://m.youtube.com/index?desktop_uri=%2F&gl=US#/watch?v=6Kwe2fzHXcI Oracle] is beautifully animated and sad.

There is one about two humanoid duck-like beings, a boy and a girl, who only could have one really exist at a time, but I can't remember what the name is or where I found it here at the moment.

^^ Your links don't seem to be working . . .

My ex-roommate wanted to major in animation, and he showed me 9 and Kiwi to argue that the medium was worthwhile. The last film he showed me was about a man who'd built his house higher and higher as his hometown slowly flooded, and went down to the bottom floor in a diving suit, remembering the past as he went. I forget the name, though.

That's Feo . . . He's a disgusting, mysoginistic, paedophilic asshat who moonlights as a shitty writer—Something Awful

Vincent, Tim Burton's animated short he made while working as an animator for Disney, if my favourite among his works.

One of these days, I'll make a work page for it.

Tor.com has an awesome regular short film feature called Saturday Morning Cartoons, it's full of a lot of animated classics along with a few more obscure shorts.

Two of my favorites from their feature had completely different makers, yet somehow seem to fit in the same universe: The Mysterious Geographic Explorations of Jasper Morello (pushing the limits of what constitutes a "short" film) and The Invention of Love.

The Snails is a short that completely baffled me when I was a kid, now I look back fondly on it gigantism-related absurdity.

Other neat live-action shorts I can think of at the top of my head: 3 Minutes, which is exactly 3 minutes long, and the massive Tear Jerker Leave Me.

Their's The Sandman if you're looking for something spooky. I'm only recommending it because it's 8:30 in the morning here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UjgHbRrnjhU
