This is awesome, especially for LAN parties with the 360 and PS 3.

So wait, basically you shove your Xbox into a laptop so you can play it on a plane?

Awesome.

It's even more valuable for LAN parties. Don't have to worry about having enough monitors, or having to bring your own monitor.

Do modern videogames even have the option of having LAN parties?

With the PS Vita, the PS 3 half of this will become obsolete pretty quickly, unless I misunderstood and all PS 3 games won't be playable on it.

You need a power outlet? It's 2011 people, when the hell are we finally going to get wireless power?

You can do the same thing with a good enough gaming laptop.

Except not with exclusives, in which case you could argue that you could just play a portable as well.

a self-contained system that will allow you to not only tote your next-gen console around, but play it anywhere, too.

Hold up, I'm pretty sure the 360/PS 3 have been current gen for a good while now, and are soon going to be last-gen.just bugs me

The problem with wireless power is not technological difficulty so much as that a human cannot survive standing in an area in which it's available.

For those who would rather not pump up the hits for JAF's site (the OP link): http://www.ubergizmo.com/2011/06/gaems-g155/

Really, this whole thing with using the forums to promote your site is rather a) tiresome and b) lame, JAF.

I didn't know it was a bad thing. I kinda like him linking to his articles.

JAF has a website?

...actually, come to think of it he started a lot of threads in the video game forums. Is he a really big fan with a site dedicated to video games or something? Or is he someone in the industry or something?

No, he's a video game journalist. Take a look at who writes those articles.

I don't see why wanting people to read his articles is such a bad thing.

That looks like it'd make one's console overheat. And considering the 360 is already prone to that...

Well his name is JAF, but the writer is Jonah Falcon.........on the other hand, he has Jonah Falcon in his title and signature....

Either way, Falcon should do everything in his power to earn the title of Captain...whether it's captain of a sports team, captain of a ship, or anything that has "Captain" as a title....

@INUH: It's not, in and of itself.

What is the issue, at least for me*

, is that it's pretty much the only reason he starts threads and that he doesn't at least include a note that it is his site.

I'm hesitant to use the word given its rather negative connotations, but the whole thing has a hint of the taste of spam (the internet kind; I've never had the meat product so I wouldn't know how it tastes tongue ), though I will admit that unlike most spam posted to other forums the links he posts here are at least on-topic for the subforum.

I don't mind the principle of the thing, although it does kind of bug me how he seems to make a new topic every time he writes an article. There should be a General Gaming News thread or something to put this kind of stuff in...
