I don't think a lot of people here have a console port of HOTD 3, let alone play gun games seriously, haha.
I do eventually wanna get the Wii port, though. My best performance in the arcade version so far is a 2-credit clear.
What other gun games do you play, if you don't mind me asking?

Except [condescending response follows]. Because [sarcasm here]. You do understand [snark], right? POTHOLE TO SARCASM MODEI rarely play any other gun game, lol. Except Hot D 2 of course, Hot D Overkill, and Time Crisis 3. My technique is that I use the Wiimote and the Nunchuck to press alternately B and Z to fire and thus shooting every thing fast without even thinking about precision, lol (and that's why I will never get a good rank at Extreme mode).
1012851 ? FFFFFFUUUUUUUUU- Seriously though, even if I can look arrogant in my post, I'm convinced that getting a million points in Hot D 3 is merely a matter of a little training and that everyone can do it (just for the record, I'm 14, so when I grow up, I gotta speed up).
I shall transform the Earth's water into liquid ice.I'll get back to you once I get in some practice. I like this thread.
ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI.
Hi there. If you think you are good at House of the Dead 3, then have the balls to post here.
In Hot D 3, there's a mode called "Time Attack". It plays Arcade mode with medium difficulty, but with a 10x more interesting scoring system : the clock.
The clock is basically a life bar : you lose life as time goes, but you regain life by rapidly killing zombies. They can give from nothing to 3 seconds, and there's a bonus of 5 seconds if you kill two of them in one shot. For good players, the clock literally MAKES your score : in the end of the game, the time left is added to your score, considering that a 100th of a second is worth 10 points. That means even if you have only one second left in the clock, you still get 1000 bonus points.
And that's when MY superb ranking system goes into play. Because if you have, like 500 seconds left in your clock, that means you have 500000 bonus points, which is big since before the bonus you have probably 160000 points only.
You also have a bonus in your clock if you get a good grade in the chapters 1 to 5. The better your grade, the more seconds you get, and that can go from 20s (S) to nothing (E) There are also bonus items, which you can find by searching in barrels and other stuff you can destroy. They can give from 5 seconds to 25 seconds. And finally, there are rescue bonuses. If you rescue your partner when he needs it, you get 10 seconds. If you can rescue your partner every time, you can go in the bonus room before the final boss, which contains 3 bonus items that gives 47 seconds in total.
The scoring system is too balanced to get easy extra points like in the Arcade mode : the only advice is to kill fast.
So whoever you are, even if you're a total noob in this game, I invite you to post your score and look at your rank :
10th kyu (0-15999) 9th kyu (16000-31999) 8th kyu (32000-47999) 7th kyu (48000-63999) 6th kyu (64000-79999) 5th kyu (80000-95999) 4th kyu (96000-111999) 3rd kyu (112000-127999) 2nd kyu (128000-143999) 1st kyu (144000-159999) 1st dan (160000-239999) 2nd dan (240000-319999) 3rd dan (320000-399999) 4th dan (400000-479999) 5th dan (480000-559999) 6th dan (560000-639999) 7th dan (640000-719999) 8th dan (720000-799999) 9th dan (800000-899999) Shihan (900000-999999) Grand Master (1000000+)
I am a grand master, with a score of 1012850 on the Wii version of the game. That being said, let's train and play !
