First thing's first: KEEP. THIS. SHIT. CIVIL. If you can't talk about race without resorting to childish insults and rude generalizations or getting angry at people who don't see it your way, leave the thread.
With that said, I bring you to what can hopefully be the general thread about race.
First, a few starter questions.
- How, if at all, do you feel your race affects your everyday life?
- Do you believe that white people (or whatever the majority race in your area is) receive privileges simply because of the color of their skin. How much?
- Do you believe minorities are discriminated against for the same reason? How much?
- Do you believe that assimilation of cultures is better than people trying to keep their own?
- Affirmative Action. Yea, Nay? Why or why not?
Also, a personal question from me.
- Why (in my experience, not trying to generalize) do white people often try to insist that they aren't white? I can't count the number of times I've heard "I'm not white, I'm 1/4th English, 1/4th German, 1/4th Scandinavian 1/8th Cherokee, and 1/8th Russian," as though 4 of 5 of those things aren't considered "white" by the masses. Is it because you have pride for your ancestry, or an attempt to try and differentiate yourself from all those "other" white people? Or something else altogether?

The article mentions that he did plead guilty for the murder of George Floyd. Why is he trying to get an appeal?

From The Guardian.
They also argued juror misconduct, alleging that it was in the jurors’ best interest to find Chauvin guilty to avoid threats of violence from the public.

Every Hero has his own way of eating yogurtNot sure if this is the right topic to talk about it, or if there's a topic specific for Native Americans' issues, but is it bad that I would refuse to celebrate Thanksgiving if I was American, because I would find it to be insensitive to them?
(I have nothing against people who do celebrate Thanksgiving, though)
I'm neutral about the meme, but she was beautiful.I am not American, but you have the right to not celebrate anything you want for whatever reason.
Unlike most people in my country, I don't celebrate Aïd al-Adha because I am against the killing of animals, and I don't feel bad about it.
Every Hero has his own way of eating yogurtAustralia Day gets a lot of the same reactions, for the same reasons. As does New Zealand's Waitangi Day, although that's also more focused on Māori issues and takes a different perspective to the other two.

Fox News host Brian Kilmeade defends slave owners.
With all the memes about women choosing a bear over a man, Hollywood might wanna get on an 'East of the Sun and West of the Moon' adaptationBy now you should know Fox news fox news defending slavery isn't even that surprising.
New theme music also a boxYeah, just as expected.
Preaching to the choir.
Inter arma enim silent legesThe Guardian: New Zealand's right-wing coalition government has announced plans to "review" the terms of the Treaty of Waitangi, the country's founding document (de facto constitution) which affirms the sovereign status of the Māori people. This includes the plans to reveal and review many legislations and institutions enacted since the 1975 establishment of the Waitangi Commission, including health initiatives and the use of the Māori language in public service.
Translation: they’re going to take away rights from Māori. Because they’re racist. And evil.
That sounds a lot like the same "no racial laws" playbook that was (successfully) used against Australia's indigenous Voice referendum.
I hope NZ doesn't take that path.

New theme music also a box“Rebalancing” means tipping the scales in favor of white people.
I fully expect this from Charles but I was really surprised by Kate's racism given her working class background. It really shows that when you surround yourself with racist people your values got eroded.
according to Piers Morgan
New theme music also a boxYeah, I'd take anything the guy says with a grain of salt, especially if it involves Meghan Markle in any way (considering his bizarre obsession with her).
Welcome to Estalia, gentlemen. He is basically the palace's mouth piece at this point, to the point that he was seen very friendly with Queen Camilla. So he must have been given an Okay from the Palace, which made me think that the Golden Boy William is involved in either the racism discussion or this whole reveal, throwing his wife under the bus.

you forgot the word 'self appointed'
New theme music also a boxYeah this is Piers Morgan (known for faking war crimes by British troops in Iraq) repeating a claim from a pulled translation of a gossip book. Not exactly a reliable source.
“And the Bunny nails it!” ~ Gabrael “If the UN can get through a day without everyone strangling everyone else so can we.” ~ CyranWait, he faked War Crimes implicating British Troops? Isn't he supposed to be a Patriot?

“And the Bunny nails it!” ~ Gabrael “If the UN can get through a day without everyone strangling everyone else so can we.” ~ CyranThat stuff kinda escalated with the Dutch version of the book regarding the controversy of Archie and the royal family. The original (English) version did not mention any names due to legal liabilities if the author chose to do so.
