A single unified LGBTQ+ conversation

For someone who's not in the know aka me, what's the goings on with that bunch?

Gender Identity Watch are a trans-exclusionary radfem hate group that abuse trans women by outing them and publishing their private information, at times passing it directly to employers or family members in an attempt to cause personal harm.

Remind me why humanity's worth saving? I seem to have forgotten.

Fuck humanity. I'll stick to the folks that matter.

I don't understand the mindset. We should be on the same side, working together. What do they gain from coming after us?

They can feel good while not actually working towards anything useful by going after an easy target? They were already transphobes and tried to bend their feminist ideology towards their preconceived hatred? Because transphobic feminists' logic is full of holes.

In the sense that some women believe that men can never be women and don't really know the plight of being born woman...

Soooooo, I'm guessing they do it to give themselves more credibility as their own sex? Deny anything masculine and stick to themselves?

Every group has its own sub-groups that dismiss way more groups than the main group. Like the Westboro Baptist Church. Who may or may not be Baptist anyway.

Every extreme of passion towards a cause is terrible. Coupled with ignorance it's just a self-perpetuating cycle of hate.

Yeah I agree Tapy, I'm nice to my friends, not a dick if I can help it, and let everyone else sort their own crap out.

I'd rather try and make the world a better place. Then again, I have two younger siblings to look out for, so I think that's part of why I care so much.

Well, one, just because a few assholes are mucking it up doesn't mean everyone else should suffer

and two, I was unaware there was an on-off switch to saving humanity. I'm fairly sure there is no such thing as "saving" humanity. It's already here. It's more of sustaining humanity that's the question.

I said "folks that matter", not "friends". The latter you automatically make in the process. You can't run with the hare and hunt with the hounds, so you have to pick your battlegrounds. I have picked mine, and it happens to be the trans community, e'en though I'm not one of them (OK, in this case they are friends, but you get the idea).

LOL Oh man, that verse. I thought he was going to go with the "man should not wear that which pertaineth to a woman" and vice versa verse but no. He picked that one. So...as a transman, would I still be allowed in the church since I haven't cut off my junk?

I also love his argument that because transwomen still have an XY chromosome, that makes them men. So...what about women with androgen insensitivity syndrome? Are they men too because they also have an XY chromosome?

I wonder how much it pisses him off that their are trans christians.

You mean women who have Y chromosomes but some mutation disabled them?

Well, these folks want to keep LGBTs from being able to enter private establishments, if recent legal decisions are any indication. Why would they want us using the restrooms of those establishments?

Commented on a TERF Facebook page with links debunking the "bathroom scare" a few days ago. I just checked and of course my comment's deleted and they banned me from the page. Now how did I know that's what would happen :P

I found out yesterday that my uncle, who was more or less a second father to me when my dad wasn't quite ready to step up to plate like he is now, and who died a couple years ago, was in fact a gay man. Just thought that'd be a nice little blow to all those assholes who think gay men and women shouldn't have children.
