Postmodernism, because it's a topic academia still keeps debating about sometimes. Or Deconstruction.

What class is it?
If I'm asking for advice on a story idea, don't tell me it can't be done.English, but the topic does not need to be strictly english related, just something we can write a good research paper about. Also, I need a specific question I can answer. Some example questions from the class are "Why was Gone with the Wind the most expensive film made at the time?" and "how did Lucille Ball affect women's rights?", that sort of thing. I was thinking I might do something like a trope analysis of a famous work, but I'm trying to decide exactly what to do. Something like "The Hero of a Thousand Faces in Star Wars" or the like. Basic, archetypal plot structure applied to a famous work people would know but not think about.
Not sure if this is the right forum, but I'm going to go ahead with it anyway.
For our final school project we have to write a research paper, topic of our choice. Ask a question, research it, and answer it in research paper format. I'm stuck on trying to come up with a research question and I'm thinking I want to do something trope related, something about a recurring trope in literature or film. I need to come up with a question about said trope that is researchable, answerable, and fairly narrow, considering the length of the paper. It also needs to be something fairly well written about and acedemic, as I need to find enough sources to get information out of. Also, hopefully it will be something fun for me to write about. So, does anyone have any good ideas for a trope I can research?
