I've just humored the thought that in the future people will be like, "It's just not the same without Nomura!".
It's more frustrating waiting for the asskicking than the asskicking itself. What's wrong with Nomura? He's good at designing outfits...

"Every opinion that isn't mine is subjected to Your Mileage May Vary."He is fine but fans seem love the whole zippers and belts thing.
Nomura gets blamed for all the problems now for some reason...even though Nomura was also part of BOTH the SNES "Golden Age" and the PSX "Golden Age".
Who ever let technicalities stop them?
Seconded.
And Nomura isn't the problem; he's just the face of Squeenix in a time where its main franchises have a large Unpleasable Fanbase.
INT is knowing a tomato is a fruit. WIS is knowing it doesn't belong in a fruit salad. CHA is convincing people that it does.To be honest, I only dislike Nomura when he's designing purely fantasy-themed outfits. His strength is in urban-inspired wear. As such, I thought the costumes in Final Fantasy X and Birth By Sleep were kind of bland compared to Final Fantasy VIII and The World Ends With You.
Fang is still the best thing he's ever created, from both a character design and costume design standpoint.
Yep, followed by Yuna.
Umbran Climax◊Auron's my favorite from X, simply because he's awesome to point to whenever someone claims he can only draw androgynous pretty boys.
I'm actually really partial to Squall's design, oddly enough. I guess mostly for it's simultaneous distinctiveness and simplicity.
Though to be honest, it's not zippers that I think he over uses, it's breeches. You know, those not-quite-shorts, not quite-long-pants that even show up on Noctis.
No. It's the belts and straps.
Even Auron, the second best design in X, had too many.

Umbran Climax◊I don't blame Nomura, I blame Wada. And all the failure of Spirits Within says about Sakaguchi is that he shouldn't try directing movies.
Home of CBR Rumbles-in-Exile: rumbles.fr.yuku.comThe tragedy is that they'll never make a good Secret Of Mana series game again.

"But don't give up hope. Everyone is cured sooner or later. In the end we shall shoot you." - O'Brien, 1984They only made one Secret Of Mana game.
Yes, I'm nitpicking here.
People aren't as awful as the internet makes them out to be.And it sucked.
I don't trust them with Mana.

...and nothing about his ability to run a company?
He was also heavily involved in mainline Final Fantasy titles that people still bitch about. Or do I need to drag out X-2 again as a reminder that direct sequel was a pre-merger precedent?
But X-2 was fun....
Umbran Climax◊Well if they want strong IP's, all they need to do is drop out of games altogether and focus on Nomura's zipper-and-belt company.

But according to some of these people, all direct sequels to Final Fantasy games are bad, so I expect they'd disagree.
Welcome to th:|I still find it strange that Square's recently done a bunch of re-releases for franchises they don't seem to be interested in anymore.
Why I am afraid of fences.Re-releases that don't involve much other than porting and fixing a few bugs aren't costly, and then nostalgia markets are pretty lucrative (though not enough to be the main revenue source).
INT is knowing a tomato is a fruit. WIS is knowing it doesn't belong in a fruit salad. CHA is convincing people that it does.Hey, I'm all for a Tetsuya "BELTZ&ZIPPERZ" Nomura based clothing line.
You will look fashionable and unique but you'll still need a few hours to dress or take a leak.

"Liar liar on the wall, give the world to me..."
I always have to have a laugh at people calling the PS 1 days "the golden age". Because I remember the PS 1 days. You know what I heard every five minutes? A lot of the same things you're hearing now. Just replace "It's not the same without Sakaguchi!" with "It's not the same now that it's not Nintendo/2D!"
...speaking of the Gooch, I'd like to remind some folks complaining about Wada that the entire reason the company is in this state is because Sakaguchi tanked it, hard, in the process of making The Spirits Within.
