Not so far. The focus on the last couple of chapters have been on other characters.

Oh yeah, Asha a very complex person. She doesn't tell that Liz's village has survivors but then doesn't teach her magic. She's definitely torn on this, which really makes me curious what her purpose and reason is.

I also want to know how she knows all that she knows. The only person that seems to equal or surpass her knowledge of the situation is Kubera the former.

The main problem with Kubera is that he's just as enigmatic as she is which just ticks me off at times because I'm so damn curious.

Actually I'd say he's more enigmatic. We know that Asha wants revenge, but we have no idea what in the hell Kubera is up to. He's leading around sura who we are pretty sure want to kill Liz, but at the same time he helps her out and hangs with her. He messes around slaughtering humans for who knows what reason while at the same time putting a very powerful sura through emotional hell. Once again we don't have a freakin clue as to why.

Kubera seems to feel guilty about killing of a strong sura he did in the past and he seems really melancholy and resigned in his fate.

But yeah, no idea what his motivation is at all

Yes, but is the guilt because he was punished or because he murdered someone just because they were the "strongest"? He's a confusing character who not only seems to be playing both sides against each other he created both sides just to fight each other.

I almost wonder if he is trying to make a new war between the Gods and the Sura so that the old Gods that left would have to come back.

I think it's guilt because of how he ch84 killed Ananta with little regard to the consequences and also he's thinks due specific details of what he did he deserves no congrats.

It does seem he's trying to stir up a new war isn't he? Maybe he's turned nihilist?

Well he's leading a large group of Sura on a rampage around the mortal worlds. He's telling them one thing, helping them kill Liz, while at the same time helping her out and swearing to protect her.

His motivation baffles me. I do think he regrets killing Amata, but why exactly is up in the air.

Ah that's how it's spelled in English. Tried to phonetically spell it and failed it seems. Curious to see about what exactly happened though I expect it to be ages until that happens.

The whole power of the name and all that and those future visions where it seems a grown up Liz is shouting at him in anger it seems he's trying to prevent the former from happening without much success, in fact he worsened it and preparing the grounds to eliminate the threat at the same time.

He's a conflicted pragmatic man?

I think that he has an actual plan. I just don't really know what it is yet. Also I wouldn't quote me on how I spelled that guy's name. I was just trying to remember how it was spelled, but I'm not 100%.

Nobody knows and I just wish the writer dropped a bit of hint because we have nothing to go on with.

Whatever, time will tell I suppose. (though I wish this came out at least twice a week D:)

The last like ten chapters of Wake up Deadman have been really good. Even if the comedy still largely sucks. There's just a lot less comedy now.

Is it good? I felt bored at the whole story and characters and stopped.

Also I checked what the latest Kubera chapter was translated and it reached that part.

Thoughts on Agni?

I'd say like the first half of the series only one chapter in five was good, or at least showed promise. That ratio has been slowly going up and as I said the last ten or so have been rather good. So I'd still say the majority of the chapters aren't all that great so I'd understand not wanting to read the series, but I'm glad I stuck with it. Even if most of the time I was frustrated because it would be good and then back track to being stupid again.

Well that's entertaining. Agni always entertains me. Why are the gods the most entertaining characters?

Hmm might give that a chance later on then.

Well to be fair we've only seen Agni properly and he's known to be different from other gods. But yeah he's entertaining all around.

And Kubera.

And those two are my two favorite characters thus far. With Yuta nabbing third place.

Kuta is mysterious a but too much to be that likeable. But agreed about Yuta.Dude's just adorable and also have so much potential for conflict once he realizes his brother is the one who destroyed Liz's village

There's a few new Kubera's out.

So yeah did Yuta just bite off Asha's on good hand? If so Asha badly misread the situation.

It shows even Asha can't predict everything

So how long did she plan on letting Yuta bleed out in her basement? If he was such a rare half then why wasn't she taking better care of him?

I think because we know so little about it that it's hard to draw conclusions.

we do know that it worked too well on Yuta... Maybe the trap bleeds the target until it can't defend itself and stops. Then she would have studied it

Apparently next week is the final chapter of Wakeup Deadman. Maybe that message was meant for the current arc, because the plot is no where near a conclusion..

Also, expect an upwards surge of fans from it. Gabriel Blessing's doing a fanfic of it, and it's been gaining steam as usual. Let's hope he doesn't cock it up as bad as In Flight. >.>
