So who else is watching the Jem and the Holograms marathon the Hub is playing today? As I type its on the last part of the Five Part Pilot right now.
Well, I still like the show, but nowadays I find myself more bothered by the implausibilities of the premise. Why does Jerrica have—or need—a holographic projector, and how do the Misfits never get arrested despite their clearly psychotic antics having been witnessed by millions (and presumably even caught on camera at one point)? Why doesn't she just tell Rio who she is?
That being said, it's still one of the deeper cartoons of the eighties, and IIRC the second story arc is a lot stronger than the first. Besides... can't argue with the music (by the way, am I the only one here who prefers the Holograms' music to the Misfits? I always found their songs kind of annoying).
Anyway, that's my thoughts.

4chan be making jokes about how they'll force /mlp/ to make /jem/ if it gets popular.
A good writer puts in a lot of details in there story. But a great one gets a story from a single detail.Way bring her back?
With the power of a dragon I can make up for my inability to spill.Hey, if Lauren Faust updated Jem, even I would watch it!

I'd love an updated Jem. Because as much as I loved that show as a kid, it...well...it really doesn't hold up when I'm an adult at all >_<
That's weird. I feel like Jem is one of those shows that's better because I didn't watch it as a kid, so I got the pleasure of discovering it for the first time and honestly being surprise by some of the stuff it pulled in its time.
