You might want to check the "Japanese internet" for that, bro. Since most of the few Ainu that are left live in Japan.
I spread my wings and I learn how to fly....Ah, good point. Problem is, I don't speak enough Japanese to ask them the right questions, being only a ninensei (second year student). Ah well. I guess I'll just take another look through Kutune Shirka, see if there's any relevant cultural tidbits I missed.
Life is like a game of Mahjong. Sometimes you need to take risks if you want to come out ahead.Might be a congregation of Ainu on the internet somewhere, and some of them may even speak english.
Ransack the internet, I say. You never know what you'll find.

hashtagsarestupidThe closest I've seen to Ainu in Japanese fiction is the Oina people in Okami.
Banned entirely for telling FE that he was being rude and not contributing to the discussion. I shall watch down from the goon heavens. There are Ainu in Shaman King. One is a main character in fact. There's a lot of things like that in the series. Part of why I like it so much... Different cultures and myths all in one thing... It's not a terribly serious work though being a fighting shounen thing.
As for Ainu people that we know of...I do not know any sadly. We do have Japanese speaking tropers you could ask to look about the Japanese web for you though. Not sure if they would but they are out there...

If someone wants to accuse us of eating coconut shells, then that's their business. We know what we're doing. - Achaan ChahHorohoro, right? I think I might give him a mention in my project

I'm doing a project on Ainu culture for class, and if there's anyone here of Ainu descent, I'd appreciate an inside perspective. I'm especially fascinated by Ainu poetry.
