Well, tonight's the night.
Finally figured out how to watch Dave.
So what did everyone think?
It was certainly better than I thought it would be. Not outstanding but good enough. The Cat gave me the most laughs in the episode.
The extended Moose gag was quite funny I thought.
But I think they may have overdone it with the studio laughter, which was a bit loud and times and there wasn't a lot of breathing room between each payoff. Also, Craig Charles looks ancient.
And let us pray that come it may (As come it will for a' that)That was good. Glad to have the boys back.
"It's 1971. There's this man...."
"Is he Swedish?"
It was a moose.
It was alright but not something I'd want to watch again. The uniforms looked cool. There were funny jokes, including the text book bit. I'm wondering if that will turn out to be a running gag àla the space core directives.
The sims dialouge was absolutly awful.
I still think Doug Naylor is better for this than Rob Grant, the Red Dwarf books prove that. It's just neither one is as good as Grant Naylor.
Am I a good man or a bad man?Well, this was surprisingly... not awful. Not like the first seasons, but much better than the later ones. Hopefully, it will stay on the same or better level for the rest of the episodes.
I did a review of this. Apropos of nothing.
I had actually forgotten this was happening, otherwise I would've found this thread a lot earlier.

Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.Watched it. Liked it. Not the best episode, but solid.
Am I the only one that felt this had a very "early series" feel to it? The plot felt very series 1/2 to me. For all Rimmer's development through the show, we are back to an episode dealing with his desire to be an officer, his family issues, etc...

I do like the logic behind the latest episode. The computer just allows Rimmer and Lister to be much more efficient. It assists Lister in his life's quest to screw his own life up and Rimmer in his path of screwing things up for everyone else.
Oh, hey, I never posted my vlog here.
Another day, another vlog.

We're only eight days away from series X now ... and I'm very worried about how it looks. I'm afraid the "Rob Grant was the funny one, Doug Naylor is the sci-fi one" opinion is growing on me.
