Ignore my previous post cause of its manga spoiler then.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession. Will we get to the Illuminati?
Mileena MadnessWow, I wonder how they're going to work this in.

Double chapter out this month, since there was none last month. And if anything it proves that every chapter should be twice as long, because the pacing is now pretty good. Shima and Yukio continue to be the standout characters, but Shura and Rin benefited the most from the character focus.
And really we've seen this before in the Impure King arc but Yukio's tolerance to pain is inhuman, although what happens when he runs out of adrenaline doesn't really surprise anyone.
As for what they're doing with the anime, I wouldn't be surprised if they just went and said the last bits of the show were all just Rin's dream. That or they pull an Fullmetal alchemist and go through the early chapters with no filler.
I am really enjoying Super Spy Shima.
Updates on the manga: Shiemi rejects Rin. Whoa there.
I'll admit I'm not surprised from a meta standpoint (it's way too early in the manga for that kind of development!) but it's still a nice piece of development for Shiemi as a character. Especially given how I honestly feel just total indifference to her honestly.
deviantArt | TwitterSo the latest chapter is untranslated, but the reveals there are a bit shattering:
The old order of the cross was about taking care of humans hurt by demons and therefore training them as exorcists, but it was all a front for a operation of creating human clones of the demon kings, and one of lucifer's clones is called arthur... like the current paladin arthur auguste angel.
Haven't watched it yet but episode one of season two is out on both Crunchyroll (delayed for free users) and Daisuki (free for everyone).
First episode really hits the ground running, which is good and bad—because of the way episode 17 of the anime (the point of divergence to anime-only content) mixed in some foreshadowing for future anime arcs that won't be relevant to the manga I'm already seeing some people confused as to what is and is not canon now. They do a good job of establishing where this fits into the timeline and adapting the manga faithfully though, which is good to see. I'm pretty optimistic to where this is going for the moment.
deviantArt | TwitterThe newest chapter huh
2nd episode to the anime was much better, although now I'm wondering if the anime has 24 or just 12 episodes considering the pacing they are going at.
Assuming they're just going for the Kyoto arc, I can actually see them doing a decent job compressing it into 12/13 episodes without losing overly much detail. I haven't heard anything definitive about the length though.
deviantArt | TwitterSo new chapter and stuff
New chapter; mostly cute So L moments oh and also the casual reveal that Shiro is a clone of Azaezel.
Which, uh. what.
Also: Shima and Izumo are so much fun together.

deviantArt | TwitterAll this Nephilim talk reminded me of Amaimon's occult loving niece.
Think Shiemi's Shirou's kid?
Secret SignatureSo I just finished the 10th episode of S2, I'm really annoyed at how it seems to be dragging the arc out longer then needed. Was it like this in the manga, because all I remember from when I read it like a year ago or something, is how the chapters weren't coming out fast enough. Don't remember it dragging on or anything like this
A rose by any other name would smell as sweet Unless I grew it. In that case, throw it in the trash.I've seen all 12 episodes so far, and while the animation is passable (so the budget was decent) I agree that the pacing was awful. Hell the entire direction shows either lack of skill or lack of will, there was absolutely no build up to the events unfolding, the scenes themselves were cut at inappropriate times and that spilled over to the soundtrack that was completely how of sinc with the animation. If the voice actors weren't genuinely trying to do a good job, this anime would have been basically filling out a checklist of things that happened in the manga (which is admittedly better than coming up with worse stuff midway).
The impure king arc had basically three highpoints, in my view: Suguru's confrontation with his dad after the eye gets stolen, Yukio's fight against Toudo, and the take down of the impure king. The first part was actually reasonably well executed, and the third part was admittedly hard to pull off since even in the manga it was a bit uneven, but the anime made it worse and Toudo's fight was simply botched completely. That said overall it's still an above average anime, at least in my opinion.

I've been catching up to the manga, and it seems Yukio is going more cuckoo of coco puffs each chapter.
Exactly the same. It's a shame the messup with season 1 means that it's unlikely to get a season 3, 'cause it's getting really good now.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.Yukio embraced the edge.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.Probably the most justified and well-foreshadowed FaceβHeel Turn I've seen in a shonen yet.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.Also the most annoying one.
Secret SignatureSo uh, manga version of Satan is really really really twisted huh. I'm kinda afraid of where this is going
x2
Nice. I haven't read the manga but I enjoyed the anime so seeing more of it should be interesting. Especially since the anime went full on anime original at one point so I'm interested to see what the anime does.
