So, a big bang in is a writing exercise wherein you (the writer) write out X number of words in a certain number of months. You'll usually require a beta and a major component is the art, each writer has an artist who creates something based on your work.

I can only personally direct you to two at the moment, Original Fiction Big Bang which closes to writers soonish I think (I can't get onto LJ at the moment)

As well as the Fantasy Big Bang which closes to author's in six days. This link has a list of several other big bangs in the User Info, so check those out too if you're interested.

I'm also here to beg for artists, if you're artistically inclined take a look, and ask if anyone is already participating in one and if so how is it going?

Both of those links appear to be broken.

If I'm asking for advice on a story idea, don't tell me it can't be done.

They both work fine for me, LJ was having problems earlier so I assume it's either that or my computer is operating on a slightly different plane of existence.

Damnit! I thought this was going to be a guide to writing orgies!

But anyways, this seems a lot like a more complex Na No Wri Mo, then? With options, too, I guess.

I write pretty good fanfiction, sometimes.

More or less, usually less words, more time and more structure. It's excellent practice for people like me though who implode into little piles of useless without someone imposing structure on them.
