This show had a kickass (consistently good) run, overall. Sad to see it go, but the fact that it was the creator's decision (like Gravity Falls) means it's not a total loss, like some surely think it will. Here's hoping these remaining 2 seasons kick ass from here.
I worry about CN, though - nothing they consider greenlighting seems to be able to match something like this (by that, I mean making another show on this level and NOT having it be completely LOL-RANDUMB humor.), even if those future shows turn out good enough on their own.

New Web Browser, same old Shokew.I'm also glad he's decided to end it on his terms. Hopefully the studio will finally have another show to work on (assuming the Brexit doesn't just destroy its long-term prospects).
Bocquelet also said the last (sixth) season will have numerous multi-part episodes.
Don't hold your breathe, though it'll probably won't even start until Fall 2017.
Well yeah, the year's almost over and telly still has a whole nother season to get through.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.I figured that Gumball was going down the home stretch at this point. I'm pretty sad to know that my favorite current CN show's days are definitely numbered now, but it has had a terrific run. Six seasons is nothing to sneeze at.
"Lucian, don’t be afraid, we’ll make it through this."On CN? The minimum may be 4 seasons...
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.Like Regular Show, I am okay with the shows coming to an end as they had a very good run. Hopefully the two will give a satisfying conclusion of the same caliber as other Cartoon Network shows Courage The Cowardly Dog or Batman: The Brave and The Bold.
Clarification guys! Ben will be leaving after Season 6, but Gumbal may not be over by then.
Hopefully they can keep up the quantity...
Something a lot of shows have trouble with when the creator leaves.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.You mean "quality". Quantity is the issue here.
I'd rather this show end after 6 seasons, if that's so. I want to be able to like this show like I do now, not end up hating it completely like Fairly Oddparents. That... THAT is my greatest fear. And Fairly Oddparents ain't the only show with that problem, either.
New Web Browser, same old Shokew. It wasn't so much a clarification as backpedaling—he explicit said the show would end, but then said it was just him that was leaving. He might have said that before knowing if he could end the show.
And honestly, I do hope the show ends at six season, because he said he's leaving because ""I don't want to get sick of it myself." and "It also feels like the right time for a cool ending."

He didn't say Season 6 was "the last"...the first time.
He still said it was "my last", that can go both ways away.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.No, his first post on the matter said "our last [season]", then said "we're bringing Gumball to its final episode".
So he's going out on a high note and yet he said it may not be the end?
"We be we baby!"I certainly would hate to see Gumball go into full-on Seasonal Rot mode without Ben there to back the show up. It might be like Spongebob all over again without him there.
Count me in as someone who'd also like to see Gumball end on a high note with six seasons rather than getting run into the ground with ten. (Looking at you, Fairly Oddparents.) As I said before, I can live with there being six seasons of this show. If they give more seasons to Gumball anyway...well, I really hope the people left can still keep up the quality of the last few seasons without Ben.
"Lucian, don’t be afraid, we’ll make it through this."I must reluctantly agree that I'd rather see the show end after six seasons on a high note than go on as a potential Franchise Zombie.
"The Disaster" and "The Rerun" are quite the Mind Screw.
I liked it better when Questionable Casting was called WTH Casting AgencyI'm kind of looking forward to a future episode where it turns out Anais decided to still be friends with Josh anyway.
The guy: This episode should have been titled how I act when making friends IRL. Josh was cool and just like me, until the end at least.
"We be we baby!"The boredom: Basically just a bunch of short stories about the wackiness around the other characters besides Gumball and Darwin. Even a short crossover with Clarence and Regular Show.
"We be we baby!"I can't believe the bus driver dwarf came back.
"The Boredom" ironically was one of my less favorite recent episodes.
I liked it better when Questionable Casting was called WTH Casting AgencyThat's not really irony...in your case, you got exactly what was promised.
Unfortunately.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.I just want to take a second to appreciate Gumball's butt roots. Because what the hell.
Butt roots???
"We be we baby!"These things◊ from the very beginning of the episode—before the preview, even. Darwin's suggestion that he'd have to "wax" them doesn't make it any less gross/terrifying/hilarious.
Wow. Well, I enjoyed the trip while it lasted. Nothing else will fill the void it will leave.
"We be we baby!"
