As the title says, I'm currently in the process of writing a -very- long story, while I haven't even come close to finishing it, I'd like it a lot of I could get some criticism of the current product.
Before jumping in on it, I'd like to save you the time of addressing a few things- I know I messed up with the semi colons in the first 11 or so chapters mostly because I never got someone to proof read it, so I never realized I was doing it wrong the entire time.
The first chapters are about 900-1200 words long, then around chapter 5 I set myself a 2,000 word minimum, and at the moment it's pretty damn long. I won't lie, it took me about an hour and a half to read the entirety of it in its current state. and I'm a pretty fast reader.
I work at a pretty slow pace, but I've finished up to 1,200 words on the next chapter, and have a huge portion of the story already planned out in my head, so once I reach a certain point I'll blow through it at lighting speed.
I'm quite new here, long time lurker first time poster, and decided that since I've exhausted all other means of helpful criticism (I've tried other boards, and my sister who read over it really only covered my grammatical farces.)
