The most connection I can imagine is some two-second throwaway reference to Ezra and Kanan for fans of Rebels.

At the absolute most, I think it would be that, if there's a new Jedi Order, we'll see a background Jedi who Word of God will say "Yes. That was Ezra."
Oh, I don't expect any reference at all. I'm just saying that is the most I could imagine their being if there is to be one.

Man, why didn't Sidious get out more in this show? That lightsaber fight is pretty much the coolest thing he's ever done.
He was trying to keep his identity under wraps so it didn't surprise me that he was trying to stay in the shadows as much as possible.
RIP, Ian Abercrombie. That fight really was the greatest, wasn't it?
PSN ID: FateSeraph | Switch friendcode: SW-0145-8835-0610 Congratulations! She/TheyI mean, I know the Jedi couldn't even find out that he existed, but I'm sure the writers could've come up with something. Because we'll probably never get to see him in action like that again.
On another note, you know what's always bugged me? The Droid Tri-Fighter. Why do the Separatists go from starfighters that actually are droids to ones that need to be piloted?
Maybe the ones that need to be piloted are cheaper, and as the war went on even the Separatists were feeling the tightening of money? (Well, the ones that weren't part of the Trade Federation, Techno Union or Banking Clan)
My AO3Lucas wanted Ahsoka dead? Man I love that guy. Well, loved. He went and made Disney destroy 30+ years of canon -grumble grumble-. Seriously, there's no reason to expunge the things that happened thousands of years before TPM. All they've done is severely shrunk the Star Wars galaxy.
Errr, I hope this series at least resolves the Ahsoka character. Ever since she was announced as Anakin's apprentice I've been looking forward to her having a meeting with Darth Vader.
"If you weren't so crazy I'd think you were insane."Where did you hear Lucas wanted Ahsoka dead?

Only the sun has stopped. Most of the old EU took place after ROTJ. Stuff like the Thrawn Trilogy, New Jedi Order, Legacy, and the Fate of the Jedi series. Only a handful of works (including the KOTOR video games and comics) and a few novels that tied into SWTOR were set in the Old Republic era.

Plenty of places. Filoni talked about it multiple times over the course of the show. Here's the last time he mentioned it, that I know about.
Windona: It's possible, but the entire point of using droids in the first place was that they're cheaper. It seems weird that the starfighters that require a pilot (even a droid pilot) would be cheaper than the ones that don't.
Werebazs: At the start of the Clone Wars (actually, all the way back to the Battle of Naboo, but we're just talking about the Clone Wars now), the Separatists' starfighters were Vulture Droids◊. Later in the war, they switched to the Droid Tri-Fighter◊, which requires a droid pilot.
Cruherrx: Um...what does George Lucas have to do with Disney resetting continuity? He was gone for a long time before they made that announcement.
Anyway, I wouldn't count on her showing up on Rebels, at least anytime soon. We're more likely to see her pop up in Clone Wars Legacy works (stuff like Son of Dathomir, and Dark Disciple), and then see her in Rebels once it's established whether or not she even survived the war.
Or it could have been a way for Dooku to ensure the Clone Wars didn't end in a Separatist victory any time soon.
Hmmm, as someone who really came into the fandom in the last year, and a comic book fan veteran, I'm not that torn about the EU not being canon. I assume future writers will canonize things from the EU that they liked, and discard the suckier stories/ideas and try to streamline it. Sort of like making a tv adaptation of a comic book series. It won't prevent me from dipping into the EU (heck, I've been looking up prices for KOTOR comics and the game, even though I know they're not about the same characters), but it doesn't mean that I have to read a lot of books to understand another book and how we got to the situation from the movies I watched.
My AO3"Um...what does George Lucas have to do with Disney resetting continuity"
Selling Star Wars to them for money he neither wanted nor needed.
"If you weren't so crazy I'd think you were insane."Whaddaya mean he didn't want the money? Did Disney force it on him at gunpoint?
What, because businesspeople don't actually threaten each other with guns?

That shows such a fundamental lack of understanding about business that I don't even know where to start.
Wait, I thought the tri-fighters were actually droids themselves.
Gahmah's Link Tree: https://linktr.ee/GahmahRaanI meant the post above yours.
Wookieepedia claims they have a crew of one droid pilot, and two of the three times Lego has made a set out of it they have included a pilot as well.
So there has been a 4chan thread going around that has claimed to have the stories of the unreleased bounty hunter and Ahsoka/Bo-Katan arcs. Just popping in to say that Pablo Hidalgo has confirmed that these are fake stories, though I must admit that they did sound fairly convincing and reasonable (though I'm sure someone here will poke holes in them that will say otherwise).
"Droid pilot" could mean droid brain/CPU. And the Wookieepedia entry does refer to it as a droid.
And the LEGO sets' canonicity is pretty dubious (and probably just trying to have minifigs to go along with it).
Yeah, I'm relying on information that's Legends, but if a ship has a face with glowing red eyes, I would assume it's sentient.

Ah.
No, that would fall under the "need to watch the show to understand the movies" thing.
